This luxe Asian wedding shoot offers a unique and totally gorgeous blend of East meets West influences, with a modern take on Chinese wedding traditions! Toronto based wedding photographer Pepper and Light teamed up with event planners Asian Fusion Weddings and Formosa Events to create this opulent wedding inspiration to ring in Lunar New Year. To celebrate the Year of the Dog, they partnered with Merlin’s Hope to include the cutest rescue dogs you’ll ever see!

Luxe Asian Wedding Inspiration for Lunar New Year

The amazing team behind this luxe Asian wedding inspiration were inspired by family dinners to celebrate the Lunar New Year, and envisioned that tradition blended with elements of high fashion and modern color palettes. While the color red is traditionally associated with Chinese wedding, Formosa Events created a luxurious event design that offered a modern interpretation of Asian decor and styling with a feminine touch from the abundance of flowers in shades of soft pinks and purples. The glamorous decor included floral print plates, cut crystal glassware, and luxurious centerpieces in plum, peach, and blush pink.  Nadia and Co. created a hand painted cake that blended watercolor techniques with jewel toned sugar flowers for a stunning finishing touch. A rosé toast and traditional tea ceremony completed the utterly luxurious blend of East meets West inspiration!

For the second vignette, Asian Fusion Weddings envisioned a glamorous jade green and gold design that drew inspiration from Bonsai trees for the emerald infused color palette. Metallic gold paper lanterns hung in an elaborate chandelier over the long table set with a living Bonsai runner and prosperity coins at each place setting. The rich color carried into the green and gold dessert display that offered towers of gilded fortune cookies alongside a multi-tiered green cake adorned with edible gold embellishments.
