I’m so exited to start this week with today’s gorgeous, Jazz-Age inspired spring wedding in Ireland from Weddings by Kara! She shared Ciara and Cormac’s absolutely stunning wedding with me, from their heartfelt Catholic ceremony in Tipperary, Ireland, to their musical and welcoming reception at Kilshane House. Bride Ciara wrote that they both wanted to have the spirituality of their upbringing and their heritage at the heart of their ceremony, so they decided to have a traditional Catholic ceremony start this new step in their lives together. Almost as important as a spiritual ceremony was their desire to have a simple, easy, and fun day. Rather than worry about their color scheme or having every detail come through perfectly, they opted to put together a plan for a relaxed day and to enjoy it to the fullest! Their favorite part was their intimate portrait session with photographer Karina right after the ceremony, after which they joined the cocktail hour where live band Soul Driven played jazz to match their stunning 1920’s style, followed by traditional Celtic music!
While they may not have fussed too much over each and every detail of their day, it’s safe to say that this laid-back couple planned an absolute stunner of a wedding! Ciara’s bridal style reflected their romantic, jazz-age theme with her subtly tiered lace gown from Bella Bleu Bridal in Cork, and a vintage-inspired jeweled headpiece from US based Stella’s Design. Her bridesmaids echoed their breezy but elegant style in floor-length gowns of sunny yellow, while all the ladies carried gorgeous bouquets of spring wildflowers by Cashel Flowers. After the live music, guests celebrated with a multi-course meal in the Orangerie of the Regency-era Kilshane House before wishing the newlyweds well! Ciara finished rhapsodizing about their lovely wedding day with the reminder:
“Marriage is two people saying to one another, I’m there for you. Committing to this each and every day. And it is no effort. It is natural easy and beautiful. We love it.
Of course you can do this without a wedding or a ceremony, but by dedicating a whole day to it, you allow all your loved ones to become a part of that love and commitment. This is something we didn’t understand until we got engaged.”
