How to Dress up a Backyard Boho Wedding in Style

Lovely Light Imagery and Not Jess A Planner envisioned a colorful and whimsical wedding day with feminine details and lots of texture. Colorful flowers and decor by Sam Barrett Events nailed the coral, mauve, and gold color scheme to add warm fall colors to every detail, and Couture Cupcakery created a caramel drizzle cake that looks too pretty to eat!

The bride’s headpiece from Julie Harris Designs added a fun floral detail with crystal flowers and branches in yellow gold, while she rocked a starburst engagement ring with an oval center stone!

Sam Barrett Events managed to transform a simple backyard into a a fall wonderland with this amazing ceremony backdrop! Using the wooden fence as a backdrop, they created a gorgeous focal point for the ceremony with a macrame and pampas grass installation on pipe and drape stands. The amazing hanging sign by Signs of Our Lives added a gold touch with the couple’s names and wedding days hand lettered as a keepsake.

Our beautiful bride rocked a long sleeve wedding dress from Lace and Liberty! The modern lace detailing added to the bohemian feel of the day, while the fitted trumpet silhouette was effortlessly bridal without seeming too formal for the backyard. She carried a colorful orange, pink, and nude bouquet of fall flowers, magnolia leaves, and pampas grass!

The groom looked portrait ready in a black on black suit and shirt with a coral rose boutonniere to add a splash of color to the monochromatic look!

Laser cut signs and a whimsical balloon installation created an easy transition from the ceremony to the reception space!

A large mid century table and chairs designated the reception space for this backyard boho wedding, with mauve and gold accents that created the perfect fall color palette! A velvet table runner and statement centerpiece created the primary decor on the farm table with modern gold candlesticks finishing off the long tablescape without adding additional flower arrangements.

Simple place settings used textural accents to feel exquisitely detailed – glass plates and gold flatware were a clean way to complement the woven place mats and organic cotton napkins. Menus by Poppy and Birch and calligraphy leather place cards by Signs of Our Lives added the perfect finishing touch!

Mini succulent wedding favors and geometric acrylic table numbers were a great way to add details to the long tables!

To create the focal centerpiece, Sam Barrett Events used a rustic wood tray to layer pampas grass, dried palm fronds, protea, quicksand roses, and fall leaves to create a beautifully dimensional arrangement.

The cake table managed to completely steal the show! Using a brick chimney as the backdrop, Not Jess A Planner created an amazing modern display with geometric installations and a balloon garland in coral, black, and gold!

Couture Cupcakery created this caramel drizzle cake with a fall flower cake topper and dried grass accents to mimic the ceremony installation! The gold and coral colors were perfect for a backyard boho wedding!

Instead of a traditional buffet, guests were treated to this epic cheeseboard by Lilly Bird Collective! The beautiful acrylic sign invited guests to find their perfect pair, with a wine and cheese spread that created an amazing grazing table station!

A quiet spot was set aside for a vintage lounge, complete with an emerald green velvet couch and rattan cocktail tables for a quiet moment!

Our lovely couple finished off the night with this hand lettered leather jacket! The fringe detail and calligraphy love quote by Signs of Our Lives made it an epic way to end the day!
