How about a peaceful oasis of beauty in the middle of your week, with this stunning historic villa wedding from Vitaly M Photography? Brenda and Mark have a very modern love story and celebrated their marriage surrounded by the old world beauty of The Villa San Juan Capistrano in Southern California. Their wedding is another gorgeous example of the magic that happens when designers plan their own wedding – Brenda, a graphic designer, used her creative talents to stunning effect when it came to designing the decor for her wedding. Floral Occasions handcrafted florals in lush white amid jewel bright garlands of greenery, a beautiful counterpoint to the warm stucco and ivy of the turn-of-the-century villa. They said their vows in front of the estate’s grand mahogany door, another beautiful detail of the venue that Brenda picked up with dark wood chairs and rich amber bottles on the tables – not to mention their woodsy monogram for a beautiful cake topper!
This lovely couple had a very twenty-first century romance after they met online. They bonded over their shared love of adventure, which led them everywhere from mountain biking in Southern California to hiking in Machu Picchu. What love story isn’t complete without nursing someone back to health after they pass out from altitude sickness? All of their travels together lead them to their gorgeous wedding day at the villa, and the vows they made in the courtyard. After capturing portraits in the lovely liquid gold sunshine that signals late spring in California, they rejoined their party in the leafy shade of the courtyard. The rich cream stucco of the walls and the deep, emerald ivy were echoed in their ivory linens and lush arrangements of lisianthus, stock, and garden roses against sprays of wild green eucalyptus. Their beautiful dessert table echoed the theme, with a raw burlap runner set with a petite buttercream cake adorned with laurel and lavender, and desserts baked from Brenda’s family recipes. My favorite moment from their stunning day – they shared a final dance together before the fireplace in the historic villa!

Beautiful wedding! Absolutely loved all the details and effort that went into this gorgeous day.
I just wanted to know about the bride’s lovely head piece? I think it was stunning!
Thank you,
Anna
So glad you like it! I’m afraid the bride’s headpiece was not disclosed to the photographer, but I highly recommend Maria Elena Headpieces for similar options!
Thank you so much! Those head pieces by Maria Elena are absolutely gorgeous. There are a few stores near me that sell them so I am excited to look.
Thanks again 🙂
Anna

What a magical setting! The florals are phenomenal! I adore all the greenery.
I really love all the green foliage in her cascade bouquet. Total rustic elegance, so beautiful from start to finish and SO beautifully captured, too.
That bouquet and greenery! Old world charm win indeed! <3
What a wedding! I LOVE her bouquet!
This bride did such an amazing job- love all of the florals and the colour palette is so perfect for their venue! That backdrop idea- of using the grand mahogany door with a floral garland draped above- so simple yet so stunning!
