Bohemian industrial inspiration takes center stage in this stunning shoot combining hanging flower installations and creative ways to repurpose your wedding decor! Kelsey Straus Photography and Peachy Keen Coordination wanted to offer a modern twist on a Classic Blue color palette, pairing the Color of the Year with indigo boho style, natural gold accents from dried grasses, and moody black finishing details. The result, in the stunning industrial venue at Saint Irene’s, is an amazing blueprint to create a modern industrial wedding with eco-friendly accents!
We’re diving right into color with this indigo blue and antique gold invitation suite designed by Cailene Creatives! The brush stroke calligraphy and streaks of blue and gold on the invitations spoke to the earthy and unique style and rich color palette of this bohemian industrial wedding shoot!
BLUE Floral Company created the most stunning hanging flower installations to add texture and detail to the venue room at Saint Irene’s! The chevron twist on a shiplap accent wall created a unique ceremony space, which Peachy Keen Coordination turned into an industrial bohemian haven with a handwoven rug and geometric black wire hurricane lanterns to accent the bold and moody tones.
Between the bride’s lace halter neck wedding dress and the stunning floral decor, the intimate indoor wedding ceremony became a complete statement piece! To create the incredible hanging flower installations, the florist foraged and dried flowers and grasses, even spray painting palm fronds blue to add the signature color to the elevated centerpiece. Locally grown hops, foraged pampas grass, and asymmetric floral details came together in this unique and creative floating arrangement!
The dress and headpiece from local bridal boutique, The White Dress Portland, added to the elegant laid back feel of the wedding shoot! The fitted lace halter dress showcased an open back with criss-crossing straps over a long train, perfect for creating a stunning statement without going for volume! Hair stylist Emily Mercer Beauty wove the beaded ribbon headpiece into the bride’s updo to create a unique bridal hairstyle with a beautiful accessory touch!
One of the goals of the shoot was to showcase creative ways to repurpose wedding decorations for a budget friendly alternative! The amazing hanging flower installations from the ceremony were transformed into a stunning floating centerpiece for the Head Table! Rental company Vintage Meets Modern dressed the reception tables with cobalt blue runners, adding woven rattan bistro chairs and iron candleholders to create an industrial bohemian style for the wedding decor. The Classic Blue accents created a unique way to play with an on-trend accent color, while adding in touches of blue, antique gold, and black.
Place settings were styled with a rustic industrial look, pairing black and white striped napkins with escort cards made of wire wrapped into guests’ names. Sola flowers, hops, thistles, and dried ferns added texture in the signature blue and gold colors along with fresh greenery details!
The hanging flower installations made another appearance, this time repurposed as the wedding cake table decorations! Not only is it a budget-friendly way to reuse your wedding decor, but the eco-friendly aspects of rotating statement pieces is a huge draw as well!
Of course, it helps when the cake display is as gorgeous styled as this one! Sewell Sweets created the modern brushwork cake to echo the wedding invitations and drew in the indigo blue and gold color palette of the hanging flower centerpiece. The chevron accent wall and handwoven rug all added up to a unique and creative way to showcase the wedding cake while staying true to the bohemian industrial design!
The cake is a work of modern art! The dry brush style strokes and Klimt-inspired gold foil dots created a beautiful and artistic wedding cake with three tall tiers.
Kelsey Straus Photography took the time for bridal portraits that showed off every detail, from the asymmetric bouquet of eucalyptus, magnolia, and delphiniums as the ‘something blue’, to the beautiful detail in the hanging flower installations.
It wouldn’t be the Pacific Northwest without coffee! Saint Irene’s served up amazing latte art before transitioning into cocktails at the gorgeous bar space that Vintage Meets Modern adorned with indigo blue decor, geometric copper coffee tables, and blush velvet damask details!
