Glam Purple and Green Enchanted Forest Wedding from Maru Photography

It’s always a joy when I get to feature Maru Photography on the blog, and Julie and Marc’s enchanted forest wedding is no exception! Their country club ceremony and reception is a sweet mix of classic charm and full on glamour, but it’s when they head out to the forest for portraits that my jaw really dropped! The gorgeous surroundings makes a beautiful reflection of what Kim refers to as Julie’s love for shabby chic, so finding such a lovely, natural space could not have been more perfect.

Julie had a passion for all things shabby chic and a bit boho so we went to the perfect outdoor location to do her bridal images—a beautiful ethereal forest with sun-drenched pathways and wide open, light filled fields. It was just what Julie envisioned for her wedding day. Julie and Marc’s wedding had an intimage and free-spirited feeling about it, just like the couple and their friends. They were married in an outdoor ceremony with a reception to follow, both at a Golf and Country Club just an hour or so outside of downtown Vancouver, in Langley, BC. This is an all-inclusive venue that took care of virtually every detail for Julie, from decor to cake and as a result, Julie was able to completely relax in the weeks leading up the big day. This made for an unstressed and radiant bride on her big day (that always makes my job as the photographer much easier!
