It’s perfectly fitting that Stephanie and Parker chose a French countryside aesthetic for their wedding day since Parker proposed just before a romantic trip to France! Their heartfelt engagement included their French bulldog, Percy, who also had a starring role in their beautiful wedding day at Callanwolde. The historic manor house near Atlanta combined a timeless elegance with classical architecture that gorgeously complemented their vision for their wedding day! Their Georgia wedding dream team of ALTMIX Photography, Brie Owens of Chancey Charm Atlanta, and Tailor and Table brought their French countryside dream to beautiful life!
French Countryside Elegance for a Romantic Atlanta Wedding
When it came to planning the details of their wedding day, Stephanie and Parker agree that their planner, Brie Owens for Chancey Charm, was essential! She helped keep them on track of the wedding plans and made sure everything ran smoothly on their big day. They started their wedding morning with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony that paid their respects to Stephanie’s heritage and their combined families. Stephanie changed out of her traditional attire into a romantic lace applique bridal gown from Kelly’s Closet, accenting the floral pattern with a pearl adorned cathedral veil that made for truly stunning photos! Her bridesmaids helped her change, but special effort went to Percy the French bulldog who made sure the gown and veil met his discerning approval.
The couple had an intimate first look on the grand staircase of Callanwolde, where ALTMIX Photography took full advantage of the natural light to capture the most dramatic portraits! Stephanie’s gown looked luminous in the elegant garden setting, while they opted for classic navy suits for the groom and his groomsmen and dusty blue dresses for the bridesmaids. Tailor and Table played off their timeless color palette by creating romantic garden inspired bouquets in shades of pink, blush, and ivory, complemented with summer greenery.
The lovely neutral palette continued into the Ballroom, where their French countryside theme took center stage! The Gothic/Tudor architecture of the venue beautifully showcased their subtle sage green and plaid decor, adorned with wicker and wood vessels of blush pink garden flowers and vintage silver decor for an elegant touch! The couple wanted to incorporate the tastes of the South, and offset the pastoral elegance of their reception with a menu that included BBQ and fried chicken! The other highlights of their party included a must-have photo booth to share memories of the night, and flavors of their hometown, Atlanta, in custom Coke bottle favors and a chocolate peanut butter wedding cake!
