Intimate elopements and simple wedding days are the perfect chance to focus on epic romance! In this stunning Miami elopement at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens from The Ganeys and Bourbon and Blush Events showcases how spectacular a wedding can be with a stunning setting, a master behind the camera, and nothing but the two of you! A couture gown, personal flowers to add a pop of color, and sweet stationery details give this lovely portrait session the perfect finishing touches to celebrate a couple in love!
Having an intimate wedding or an elopement doesn’t mean giving up on invitations altogether! The level of detail that Emily Baird Design put into this suite – with laser cut lace-inspired wraps, a deckled edge brushed with gold leaf, and vintage botanical print envelope liners – makes it perfect for a smaller groups of guests or a truly epic elopement announcement!
The warm neutral shades are a beautiful way to echo the Italian Renaissance structures that wind through the formal gardens at Villa Vizcaya, creating a beautiful palette with romantic shades of peach and deep burgundy.
The sky is the limit when it comes to dreaming up the perfect elopement look! This beauty stunned in the Alyne gown by Ines Di Santo from Calvet Couture Bridal Boutique. The sheer plunging neckline overlaid a swirled beaded bodice with fluttering wings of tulle tied in bows at the shoulders.
The sheer romance of the couture dress was a beautiful wedding day pick for the epic setting of this Miami elopement, combining Old World romance with the flowing tulle and drop dead drama thanks to the intricate details!
FH Events created the bride’s bouquet to add color to the neutral and greenery palette of the formal gardens at Vizcaya. Rich burgundy peonies, darker plum hellebore, preserved ferns, and ruffled white flowers created a bold splash of color to stand out against the coral stone that gives the garden’s follies and casinos their Old World appearance.
Laura Reynolds Artistry chose to complement the bride’s beauty, keeping her fresh face and natural curls the centerpoint to her wedding day look. Subtle fawns, taupes, and pinks gave her a loving glow while the wind played with her hair as this couple explored the gardens for their portrait session.
Look familiar? A popular spot for weddings and photo shoots, the gardens have also hosted movies like Iron Man 3 and Ace Ventura! The historic estate celebrates conservation of history and nature alike, with sweeping views of Biscayne Bay.
How beautiful is that back? The deep v-cut of the bride’s wedding dress is framed with winged cape sleeves to add epic romance to the flowing A-line skirt.
The portrait sessions with The Ganeys is as much a celebration of the beautiful venue and landscape as it is of these two lovers. The advantage of an intimate elopement is, of course, the chance to focus on each other and capturing the memories of an intimate wedding day without cutting into a tight timeline.
The serene gardens and Old World escape also offer a stunning Day-After portrait session location and a chance to spend some quality time together in front of a camera!
The estate itself includes the Villa and ten acres of formal gardens, with forty acres of ‘hammock’ jungle forest. The original aim of preserving and conserving the mangroves and tropical forests of the estate is supported by the venue’s use of caterers that focus on sustainable materials and eco-friendly events.
Event rentals are used to supplement donations and visitor’s fees to assist in the ongoing restoration and preservation of Vizcaya’s heritage!
These seaside portraits are simply breathtaking! The Tea House overlooking the bay creates a serene and private venue for the most romantic wedding photos that look straight out of a fairy tale!
