Sometimes I miss the magic of the holidays when I was a kid – when everything felt enchanted thanks to twinkle lights and you didn’t have to worry about fitting in everything on a too-long checklist. That is exactly the kind of spell cast by this winter wonderland shoot from Danielle Harris Photography and Bridget Davis Events that felt as though I was transported to Narnia or stepped into a Scandinavian folk tale.
Enchanted Winter Wonderland Wedding Ideas
The crisp winter light filtering into unique Indianapolis venue The Neidhammer created a beautifully stark play of light and darkness that could not be more perfect for dramatic chiaroscuro portraits that beautifully captured the fine art aesthetic! Old Forest Farm created a stunning ceremony backdrop from silvery winter foliage to complement the mauve flowers in the bride’s bouquet, turning the venue into an incredible old world escape.
The dramatic ceremony style was carried into the reception with a long family style table decorated in white and gray. The linen napkins doubled as hand lettered menus to add a unique element to the tabletop! White and green centerpieces continued the winter theme, while a mini croquembouche at each place setting added a sugary touch! The Gallery Pastry Shop incorporated stunning textures into the wedding cake, with three layers decorated in silver foil, delicate ruffles, and a marbled fondant pattern.
The most gorgeous winter wedding style was on display, from the bride’s layered lace gown from Blush by Hayley Paige to the bridesmaid’s lavender gray gown and sheer lace capelet. The vintage styling beautifully suited the old world charm of the venue, while the groom kept the look classic in a black tux. A vintage fur wrap kept the bride toasty warm for a snowy portrait session with a reindeer that made for the perfect winter wonderland!
