The Southern California light and hacienda spread of Valyermo Ranch offered the perfect setting for an LA couple who wanted something a little different for their wedding day. Watercolor paper details, macrame accents – including the most incredible cake! – and a floral hoop for the bride, created a beautiful meld of their free-spirited style while still looking perfectly ‘wedding’!

Valyermo Ranch is a naturally beautiful 1800s style hacienda with far-ranging “home on the range” views of a glistening lake, active farmland and sweeping views of the San Gabriel Mountains.

Thematic colors of red and green with gold and brass accents lend amazing depth to excellent views found in this getaway. These color selections against the gorgeous neutral backdrop creates striking contrast. We continue with contrast emphasis through floral, jewelry and various subtle decor choices to help capture this elegant and playful vision.

R Husbands Photography‘s moody style accents the combination of the rustic, colorful design and bohemian style with intensely crisp contrast and vivid color accents. The pure love and devotion are captured among the calm whispered winds from the mountains as golden sunsets shine brightly upon the landscape.

The stationery accents the earthy tones in the design to bring a sense of a stable love built upon foundations as strong as stone. These themes are carried through from the bold colors of the invitation envelopes to the delicate art on the invitations and the bold styling of the reception menus. The delicate touch of the wildflower paper creation is yet another contrast to the bolder design elements. Each piece of stationary is handmade, offering a one-of-a-kind experience, as special and unique as the couple themselves.

The jewelry selection includes gold hammered wedding bands, and a gold engagement ring complete with an opaque diamond. The reception – A charming courtyard fountain bubbles as the reception is underway. To bring out the feel of family and hearth a natural wood picnic table was selected and adorned with contrasting bright and earthy floral centerpieces held in brass goblets and gold cylinder vases. The vases pair well with an uncluttered tablescape to emphasize the wood from the picnic table and by adding a few candles on a macrame table runner, these choices round out the entire design.

Patterned green linen napkins are chosen to contrast the crisp white plates and bold mismatched water goblets. By selecting gold flatware, we include a hint of elegance among the rustic ambience. Overall, the reception set up brings simplicity and style to an edgy couples bohemian lifestyle.

The placement of the sweetheart table is not to be missed as it becomes a focal point against the bold dark wood doors of the venue. A dominant choice of red table linen is accented with delicate lace draped over the front.
