There is so much to love from the organic wedding style in today’s featured Real Wedding! Allie and Elliott had an incredible wedding day at Summerour Studio in Atlanta, GA, that drew inspiration from the Tuscan ambiance of their venue, Allie’s love of earth tones, and a custom floral illustration that added a personal touch! Rustic White Photography and Taylor Dawn helped this lovely couple realize their vision with beautiful style!
Earthy and Organic Wedding Style with Modern Greenery
Allie and Elliott’s love story began in Atlanta, after the two Emory University alums met through a mutual friend, so it was only fitting that their wedding took place there as well. The graceful Tuscan style of Summerour Studio fit their vision for a wedding day that welcomed their guests into a beautiful space and allowed them to feel comfortable and relaxed at every stage of the event. The villa-like setting with its Italian influence meshed with Allie’s vision for a rich and earthy palette of neutrals while creating a light and airy atmosphere.
Their beautifully organic design concept was introduced to guests from the initial invitation by Atlanta-based The Impressionist – the chic suite was personalized by an envelope liner adorned with a custom floral illustration designed for the couple by Meredith Mejerle on a beautiful watercolor backdrop that evoked their rich earth toned palette. The floral etching created a lovely call back throughout their day, from an embossed imprint on their hand lettered escort cards to decorating their table numbers at the reception. The lovely, muted color palette of their stationery suite spun off into the bridesmaids’ gray dresses and the subtle hints of mauve and pink in their natural floral arrangements.
When it came to the overall feel of their wedding day, Allie and Elliott chose to keep things organic and wild. The wedding party made their entrance to the ceremony down a flight of stairs accented with greenery and floating candles, leading to a beautifully draped ceremony backdrop adorned with emerald green vines. After their heartfelt ceremony, officiated by the bride’s stepfather for another personal touch, the guests enjoyed cocktails in the enclosed terrace while the events team transformed the interior space.
The elegant ceremony backdrop was drawn back into an inviting archway that led into the reception, while the floral garlands that decorated their aisle were used as table runners to maximize their floral decor. After dining on an assortment of comfort food appetizers and a raw bar, guests made their way into the barn-like reception space. Bistro lights hung from the wooden ceiling beams, with hanging greenery and crystal chandeliers accenting the Head Table. To fuel up for the long night on the dance floor guests indulged in a dessert display of petite treats, as well as an espresso bar and gelato cart in honor of their honeymoon in Italy! The bride’s favorite, a vanilla- almond cake with raspberry filling, topped with almond buttercream frosting. was the pièce de résistance. The night ended with adorable animal shaped cookies and a sweet note that donations had been made in their guests’ honor at the Atlanta Humane Society!
