Earthy and Organic Wedding Shoot in Soft Neutrals and Copper

I’m thrilled to share this earthy and organic wedding shoot from Carlie Statsky Photography and Esla Events – not only is it beyond stunning, but it celebrates the beauty of the area that I grew up! Devine Ranch has a commanding view of the countryside surrounding Aptos, tucked into the rolling foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains.

This time of year the trees are a dusty olive green and the hills have turned a tawny gold, casting back the rich sunlight of a California winter. The beautiful architecture and quiet grandeur of the ranch and its surroundings set the tone for the shoot, according to Laurel of Esla Events, who came up with the  shoot’s clean, modern look filtered through a rustic aesthetic. The elegant arts and crafts inspired ranch house inspired the natural textures found in the shoot – silky finished wood, raw linen, and ivory chiffon set the stage for abundant local greenery and hammered copper details.

The rest of the contributors read like a Who’s Who of Bay Area wedding talent. I realize that – as a Santa Cruz native – I am incredibly biased, but the natural beauty of this area that we call home has created a siren call for engaged couples and phenomenally creative wedding and event professionals alike. Fionna Floral was responsible for the lush floral details – from the Flower Girl’s vine wrapped wreath of ivory rosebuds, jasmine, and berries to the greenery garland running down the farm table, interspersed with living trees. Laurel sourced furniture and place settings from One True Love Vintage Rentals and Wine Country Party to capture the elegant rustic look of the ranch with lovingly tended wooden vintage furniture and blending the lines between interior and outdoors with clean ceramic place settings and raw linen napkins. Aerialist Press‘s invitations perfectly fit the design brief with invitations in elegant hand-written calligraphy and metallic foiled touches, echoing the copper chain details found on place settings and boxed favors. Even the bride’s accessories was designed close by, by local bridal salon and couture jewelry designers Haute Bride!
