West Coast was definitely the best coast for Lindsay and Mickey’s wedding day in gorgeous, sunny La Jolla! Their venue, the La Valencia Hotel, inspired their earthy dusty pink and mauve color scheme thanks to the Spanish architecture and rosy facade overlooking the Pacific Ocean! They worked with renowned planner and designer, Amorology, to bring their vision to life. Their wedding was a mixture of gorgeous modern styling and sweet personal touches that let their love for each other shine! Devon Donnahoo Photography made sure every incredible moment was captured, from their first dance salsa moves to their coastal portrait session before saying I Do!
Lindsay looked radiant in a lace fitted wedding dress from Fabulous Frocks Bridal – she paired the gown with a dusty pink, mauve, and white bouquet by The Dainty Lion. The earthy color palette was inspired by the Spanish architecture and pink facade of their reception venue at La Valencia Hotel!
The couple shared an emotional First Look before their ceremony. Groom Mickey got in on the fun style of the day by pairing his classic gray suit with a floral print tie for a little extra flair!
Lindsay added to her already heavenly color palette by pairing their dusty pink flowers with lavender bridesmaid dresses from Lulu’s!
The couple exchanged vows at All Hallows Catholic Church in La Jolla.
Old Town Trolley Tours made sure everyone got back to the La Valencia Hotel in time for the fun to start!
Event planner and designer Amorology outdid themselves with the modern chic reception in the Veranda Ballroom. The black and white marble floors and crystal chandeliers created a gorgeous modern meets vintage vibe that they incorporated into the decor.
Copper chairs from Adore Folklore and tabletop accents from Hostess Haven added a metallic touch to the soft, romantic flowers by The Dainty Lion. Centerpieces of dusty pink, mauve, and purple dahlias, garden roses, and ranunculus gave the long tables a garden feel, while matte stoneware plates and eclectic place settings contributed to the modern styling.
The popsicle escort card display goes down as one of the most creative design elements I’ve seen! Backup Backdrops created the amazing popsicle stick sign inviting guests to ‘Pop it like it’s hot’ – the display of artisan frozen treats from Viva Pop not only invited guests to their assigned table, but melted into prosecco to create a delicious frozen cocktail!
Once dinner kicked off, the escort display was transformed into a gorgeous dessert table with sweet treats from Mac Bar Macarons!
Southern California style added a bohemian element to the reception lounge on the Terraza overlooking the gorgeous sweep of the Pacific Ocean!
