Dressing Up a White Wedding Venue with Colorful Summer Flowers

A chance encounter in gym class on Kristen’s first day in a new school is how she met her forever person! She and Ryan paired up fo an exercise and the rest, they say, is history. The couple were walking their dog through a local park when Ryan asked Kristen to marry him, and she loves that the place where he proposed is part of her daily routine. Their vision for their wedding day kept things simple and romantic, and they loved the enchanting setting of Cielo’s Garden. Everything came together once they settled on their venue and Kristen styled the rest of their details around the great outdoors! Photos by Izabela Rachwal Photography, planning by Alexandra Lillian Events, and flowers by Stone House Creative helped everything else fall into place in the most magical way!

Kristen trusted Stone House Creative to run with her vision for the wedding flowers – something wild and full of color. She opted for peach, corals, oranges and berry tones for their vibrant flowers.

On finding the perfect wedding dress –

For my dress, I had a dream style in mind, spaghetti straps with a low back, trumpet style. I think I tried on over 50 dresses to find the one.

The Chic Nostalgia I choose, Electra, had my basic wants and so much more. It was soft and romantic but not plain as so many of the dress I had tried were. The small amount of sparkle it had took this dress from basic to magical which I thought fit perfectly with the venue we had selected.

Kristen wanted her bridal party in rich tones – she opted for this amazing emerald for the bridesmaid’s dresses from Lulu’s to pop against the neutral background and their colorful flowers!

The groom and groomsmen wore navy suits from RW & CO to keep the focus on rich color while still giving them a traditional look. The patterned tie added a personal touch!

The couple held their First Look on a rooftop overlooking Winnipeg but Ryan’s focus was all on his beautiful bride!

Their portraits by Izabela Rachwal Photography speak for themselves – the couple had a magical start to their wedding day!

A downtown Winnipeg portrait session added a colorful industrial feel to their wedding day photos!

How amazing is this modern art inspired backdrop for their bridal portrait session!

A quick stop for beer and snacks revitalized the bridal party during their photo shoot!

On to the venue! Kristen loved the surroundings at Cielo’s Garden, and they found beautiful places to capture wedding portraits at every turn.

With stone walls and a white raftered ceiling, the chapel at Stone House Creative is already an enchanted space. Overhead string lights and hanging lanterns add warmth to the rustic space and Stone House Creative captured Kristen’s wish to bring the outdoors in with a massive floral installation for their altarpiece!

The bride DIY’ed their seating chart herself! She found a rustic window-pane frame and tore the card stock seating chart by hand to get the perfect texture.

Guests gathered for dinner in the clear top tent at Cielo’s Garden. Kristen chose to dress the long farm tables with coral silk table runners from Linen Lark and personalize each guests’s seat with their favor – a laser woodcut of their name! Urban Prairie Cuisine provided the menu for their dinner with family and friends!

Rustic wood details, emerald green ribbons, and coral silk runners all came together to create their simple yet stunning tablescapes!

Sunset photos don’t get any more amazing than this prairie session!

This enchanted forest path with string lights provided the most romantic way for Kristen and Ryan to end their portrait session!

After dinner the couple got to dance the night away with Crystal Sound MB keeping everyone on the dance floor!
