Raine and Bryan were married at Lanikuhonua on O’ahu, loving the venue not only for being the closest thing to paradise, but also for its mission to preserve and promote Hawaiian culture. Their wedding was as much a celebration of their love as it was a celebration of Hawaii! Absolutely Loved Photography and Cherished in Hawaii Weddings worked with the couple to make sure their day was perfect!
The couple invited guests to their wedding in paradise with coral and gold protea invitations – the King protea would be a focal point of Raine’s stunning bridal bouquet!
Raine chose a stunning wedding dress with a fitted lace silhouette and 3-D floral lace applique! The stunning textural details on her dress fluttered in the wind off the water for her beachside ceremony!
The bride chose colorful tropical flowers to celebrate the beauty of the island around her! She wore a traditional ‘lei po’o’, a Hawaiian flower crown, with glossy leaves and birds of paradise for color. Her bouquet was dominated by a King Protea for drama, with pink flowers and tropical leaves to create a bold bouquet.
Bridesmaids wore floral print dresses from Plum Pretty Sugar for a colorful and stylish mismatched bridal party!
Raine had help from family and friends to fold the 1001 paper cranes that decorated their bamboo ceremony arbor. The colorful origami decor represented a Japanese tradition that Raine’s mother had upheld for her own wedding, and they made a wish with the final crane.
Seeing Bryan’s emotion as she walked down the aisle was one of the high points of their wedding day for Raine! They were married in a beachside ceremony surrounded by their loved ones!
Raine gifted her bridesmaids these customized jean jackets with their name hand lettered by Bash Calligraphy!
Color was an important part of bringing in the feel of the islands, and Raine and Bryan accomplished it with arrangements of protea and Hawaiian ginger, along with these patterned bridesmaid dresses!
How sweet are these two? Prepare for a lot of stunning portraits, thanks to Absolutely Loved Photography. Bryan wore a traditional maile lei with his dark blue suit!
Food was a top priority for Raine and Bryan – they treated guests to traditional Filipino lechon served with chinese white steamed buns and hoisin sauce for their cocktail hour. They turned to favorite Haili’s Hawaiian Food to serve their reception dinner to make sure it was authentic Hawaiian food! Guests dined on kalua pig , mini butterfish laulau, limu poke, squid luau, lomi salmon, sweet maui onions, and mango haupia. Their bar served lava flows and spam musubis made for the perfect late night snack!
A Cake Life created this amazing ombre yellow wedding cake, topped with fresh tropical flowers. The topper of Hawaiian ginger, birds of paradise, and orchids was a showstopper!
A moment on the beach before sunset allowed the couple to take a breather together after the whirlwind of the day, while Absolutely Loved Photography captured these stunning portraits.
Once the sun set, Raine and Bryan danced under the stars with their guests to cap off a perfect day in paradise!
