Feby and Tipi’s gorgeous destination elopement took place in the truly magical surroundings of Ubud, Bali. The photos taken ten years prior on their wedding day were lost, so Katie Grant Photography and Paper Diamonds teamed up to give them portraits worth cherishing in celebration of their anniversary. Not only did they capture their loving vow renewal, but the couple celebrated in style with relaxed tropical details and a couture wedding dress!
The Ritz Carlton resort at Mandapa Ubud set the scene for these long time Balinese sweethearts to renew their vows in the heart of paradise. Feby and Tipi reaffirmed their love for each other on the banks of the holy Ayung River, surrounded by lush tropical greenery. The tranquility of the location set the tone for simplicity, with organic flowers and greenery in pale tones and a soft, understated look for the bride’s hair and makeup. The focal point of the day truly was the love at the heart of their ten year marriage – not to discount the bride’s stunning dress, of course!
To celebrate their anniversary and to capture portraits they would treasure for the decades to come, Feby chose a truly unforgettable gown by MXM Couture. The fitted silhouette, with its flowing train and delicately sparkling lace, echoed the organic textures of the natural surroundings while making a showstopping statement. The gorgeous couple exuded joy as they journeyed throughout the sanctuary for their photos, from the lush river valley to the rice terrace, along the shore of the holy Ayung River and through temples hidden in the jungle.
After traversing the grounds of the resort, Feby and Tipi shared an intimate and beautiful moment on the river deck. A sweetheart table awaited them, set with the venue’s signature rose gold and cut crystal decor. Centerpieces of lush organic flowers in ivory and blush added a natural element, while hand painted depictions of local temples adorned each place setting. Signature cocktails with crushed ice, mint, and lime helped keep the tropical heat at bay, while rice harvested from the paddies on site formed the staples of the menu. The tone was set for elegant simplicity, with a focus on the bride and groom as they reminisced over the memories they had made already and those that awaited them. Their delight and excitement on their 3,750th day of marriage was just as great as it had been on their first, and their amazing team were overjoyed to be able to offer them those memories to treasure.
