Darkly Romantic Baroque Wedding Inspiration in Ink and Berry

Art has always been one of my favorite sources of inspiration and today’s darkly romantic baroque wedding inspiration board is no exception! The rich combination of ink and berry hues is perfect for fall, especially when paired with subtle hints of antique gold. The combination manages to be appealing to both vintage and modern sensibilities, since that play of dark and shadow happens to be timeless.

The details are where this inspiration truly shines, since they bring to mind masterful fine art still life paintings, calculatingly set to show each element to their best advantage. The best way to capture that essence is to keep decor relatively simple, but mindfully chosen. Simple place settings of bone china are set off by antique silver candlesticks, unadorned fruits and berries, and lush blooms placed just so.

The combination of rich black and gold elements, coupled with simple ivory silhouettes, brings to mind the dramatic light and shadow play of chiaroscuro paintings, lending depth and texture to the palette. Dark lacquered wood, gold votive, bleached antlers, and painted tulips set a gorgeously atmospheric scene!
