It simple doesn’t get any more charming than today’s classic botanical garden wedding from Figlewicz Photography! High school sweethearts Christa and Ryan were married in the incredibly lovely South Bay Botanic Gardens in Palos Verdes. Like any true Southern California couple, Ryan first asked Christa out after grabbing lunch at In N Out Burger in high school. After graduation, they attended Boston College together and spent years living in New York, but when it came time to tie the knot, only SoCal could do. Their long history together played an enormous role in Ryan’s proposal – he took Christa back to their first apartment in New York before leading her on a tour of some of their most memorable spots in the city before popping the question in Central Park!
They celebrated their wedding with a charmingly classic wedding in the gardens, drenched in golden sunshine. Florals in coral, cream, and green created a beautiful sunset-hued palette gorgeously suited to late summer, with eclectic arrangements of dahlias, ranunculus, and silver dollar eucalyptus lining long farm tables set with burlap runners. Colorful, simple arrangements of one or two varieties of flowers played up the lovely botanical setting for the wedding! A vintage garden gate turned seating chart directed guests to their table, where they were greeted with wine bottles coated in chalkboard paint and turned into table numbers and escort cards. Lawn games, a perfect staple of summer garden weddings, were set up for guests to while away the reception with giant Jenga and cornhole, accented with custom monograms!
