When you have a venue as stunning as The Olana, it has to make a preview appearance! Brown Fox Creative included a sneak peek of the venue as a hand drawn illustration in the invitations! The gorgeous stationery details included deckled edge cards with letterpress invitations, beautifully accented by colorful summer flowers in peach, pink, orange, and yellow! The bride’s dazzling engagement ring showcased a dazzling pear cut center stone in a halo setting.
Planner Alexa Kay Events and florist Alba Dahlia Floral dreamed up the most romantic color palette to bring summer flowers to vibrant life! The bride’s bouquet of roses, dahlias, sweet peas, and Queen’s Anne’s lace was tied with romantic silk ribbons to keep the stunning color palette in motion for the fine art film portraits!
The Lockharts took the chance for a bridal portrait shoot inside the mansion, capturing the setting and French baroque architecture with the most romantic film tones. The bride’s Elizabeth Lee Bridal looked perfectly suited to the setting, with an elegant French lace bodice over a tan lining and illusion lace sleeves. The full tulle skirt played up the classical influences of the manor estate!
With many stunning ceremony locations to choose from at the 40-acre estate, Alexa Kay Events and Alexa Elizabeth Design wanted to put the focus on a cozy and intimate celebration that anyone could plan. She used the grand architecture of the estate to pinpoint a beautiful spot on the back terrace, focusing on an elegant cupola with honey toned stones and an arched balustrade. The beautiful spot created a stunning ceremony backdrop, which Alba Dahlia Floral accented with colorful flower pillars on either side of the altar. The greenery and flower stands looked as though they could have grown on the facade of the mansion, and created a lovely way to celebrate in such a grand setting!
The photographers made time for outdoor portraits with the bride in natural light! Her stunning illusion lace gown featured a row of buttons down the back, which hair stylist and makeup artist Brite Beauty made sure to showcase with a romantic and elegantly disheveled bridal updo hairstyle!
A portrait session on the manor grounds made the most of every stunning photo location possible, without making the space feel overwhelming for a smaller wedding party!
This escort card display is sweet as honey! A rustic wood honeycomb structure was adorned with smilax vines to become the perfect seating chart display! Such a fun geometric detail to add as focal point where guests enter for the reception!
Airy tables and chairs set on the terrace kept the summer al fresco wedding reception light and breezy! The whitewashed campagne chairs and tulle table coverings added a whimsical feel to the all-white reception decor, accented with beautiful gold scalloped plates and blush pink napkins to bring in a French countryside touch that matched the manor venue.
The bride made a change into a sleek and modern reception dress, a la Meghan Markle! The halter neckline and slim sheath silhouette recall her Stella McCartney reception dress at her wedding to Prince Harry, and it looks just as at home on the grand staircase at The Olana! The colorful bouquet adds a fun and whimsical touch to the modern dress, showcasing how easy it is to style a wedding gown to suit any look!
Magic Hour is truly magical for film portraits, with these golden afternoon tones showcasing the summer light at the Texas estate.
The cake was dressed with fresh flowers to look like a garden in the South of France! The white buttercream tiers were dressed in colorful summer flowers to play up the relaxed and rustic aspects of the shoot inspiration against the elegant venue.
