Colorful Romance Meets Modern Chic for Stylish Wedding Inspiration

This is the perfect wedding inspiration for anyone who is a little extra, who loves to mix and marry styles, who dreams in vivid color and isn’t afraid of a little over the top glam! Semper Fi Events worked with Adam Frazier Photography and  Flora Couture to transform the Dragon Ridge Country Club into this opulent event design that combines dozens of creative elements into something utterly gorgeous and perfectly cohesive! Jewel tone flowers, modern Edison bulb chandeliers, luxe draping, and a timeless Vera Wang come together to create this romantic meets modern chic inspiration!

The bride’s Vera Wang wedding dress from Couture Bride spoke to the romance at the heart of this wedding inspiration, adding a classic touch with three-quarter sleeves and a high neckline accented with lace applique. The sheer back and dainty buttons are as dreamy as it gets! Flora Couture played off the vintage styling of the bride’s gown with a dramatic bouquet of traditional blush pink flowers and greenery dominated by a King Protea for a modern accent.

How stunning are these two together? The groom’s look is next level, with a textured midnight blue and black tuxedo from Stitched Las Vegas!

Inside the ballroom of Dragon Ridge Country Club, the duality of the design came together in the most beautiful way!  Semper Fi Events blended modern romance elements to create an awe-inspiring Sweetheart Table. Jovani Linens created the elegant drapery to create a soft backdrop, spectacularly lit with amber uplights and an Edison bulb chandelier thanks to LED Unplugged. Flora Couture outdid themselves with the massive flower and pampas grass floral installation that created a cloud of color over the table, and the massive asymmetrical garland that draped over it. Floating candles in glass pillars echoed the dramatic lighting overhead to create the most gorgeous mirrored effect.

The table decor managed to bring the same mix of playful and elegant to the rest of the details! Luxurious dupioni silk table linens in blush created a romantic canvas for textured gold chargers, slate blue glassware, and whimsical watercolor menu cards!

Peridot Sweets opted for a modern, minimal wedding cake to stand out among the opulence of the wedding reception. The gorgeous cake made a splash with a touch of gold leaf, colorful flowers, and a pampas grass topper!

Dress the Drink added fruit garnishes to the cocktails to add a delicious finishing touch!

It would be so easy for that spectacular Sweetheart Table to steal the show but the rest of the ballroom managed to be just as extra! A custom GOBO drew all eyes to the dance floor where amazing pyrotechnics finished off a night to remember!
