Colorful Ranch Wedding Day Inspired by the Sunset in Hawaii

There is nothing in the world quite like the sunset in Hawaii, which made the rich colors the perfect inspiration behind Lisa and Jason’s destination wedding on Oʻahu! They incorporated vibrant colors into their wedding day at Dillingham Ranch on the North Shore to play off the relaxed tropical vibe of their venue – which makes it perfect that Absolutely Loved Photography took them down to the beach for the most perfect sunset portraits! Destination event planner White Orchid Wedding &Event Consulting made sure the Texas-based pair and their guests had the perfect experience in Hawaii!

Their fun invitations by Julie Song Ink featured an illustration of a palm grove very much like the ceremony space that drew them to Dillingham Ranch! The gorgeous fold out itinerary for the destination weekend included tropical patterns like hibiscus flowers and a couple on the beach to get guests traveling from California, Tennessee, Illinois, Texas, and Korea excited for the trip.

Jason proposed with the stunning diamond and sapphire three stone engagement ring on a special day planned in the Austin neighborhood where they first met!

The welcoming atmosphere of Dillingham Ranch called to Jason and Lisa from the first visit – she could picture their ceremony taking place in the palm grove and island florist Steven Boyle Design helped her turn that vision into reality! Lisa’s favorite color, red, featured prominently in their vibrant flowers and the colorful floral print dresses she picked for the bridesmaids.

Lisa’s wedding dress, a gorgeous design by Mira Zwillinger from San Francisco boutique Marina Morrison, combined her dream of a timeless princess dress with an airy gown light enough to wear in Hawaii. The flowery lace on the bodice gave it the perfect touch of romance! Sparkling Kate Spade wedges were the perfect pick for bridal shoes to wear on grass!

Julie Song Ink lettered and illustrated these stunning fans to keep guests cool during the outdoor ceremony under the palms!

The couple prioritized the memories they would make on their wedding day, choosing to see each other for the first time when they walked down the aisle. They exchanged leis along with their vows, following the Hawaiian tradition. Lisa said that having her grandfather officiate their ceremony was one of her favorite moments!

Island florist Steven Boyle Design opted for color, color, and more color for the reception decor! Wooden farm tables and chairs created a neutral canvas that were dressed in lace table runners, gold and glass decor, and vibrant floral arrangements in an assortment to vessels to add color down the long tables. Stone Design LA laser engraved wooden coasters with tropical details and guests’ names to double as escort cards and a personal favor!

Blue Hawaii, anyone? Stir Beverage created their colorful and tropical drink menu for the reception cocktail bar!

One of my favorite details of their wedding day were this beautifully decorated chairs! The laser cut bride and groom signs and colorful floral swags made for a beautiful focal point at the reception.

Ke Nui Kitchen catered the reception and created this simplistic dream of a wedding cake, with a nearly naked crumb coat and chocolate and vanilla layers.

Lisa and Jason made sure their wedding day featured lots of time for the two of them to connect and drink in the moment together. Absolutely Loved Photography found plenty of gorgeous backdrops for portraits at Dillingham Ranch, giving the couple a chance to spend quality time together and capture stunning portraits at their venue!

Lisa is an equestrian, so the horses at the ranch got a little quality time as well!

The couple ended their magical wedding day with a sunset portrait session on the beach – what better way to capture the gorgeous colors that inspired their vibrant decor!
