Maria and Oscar celebrated their love for each other with a colorful Palm Springs wedding that had a surprise for all of their guests – they were already married! The former high school sweethearts stunned friends and family gathered at La Quinta Resort with a long held secret that they had eloped three years earlier, and they did it in the most gorgeous fashion! Designer and planner Amorology helped them announce their secret in the most gorgeous style, pairing a dreamy color palette of mauve, dusty rose, and twilight blue with the kind of boho chic style that makes Palm Spring its home. Ashley Kelemen‘s breathtaking photography captured every sweet moment and beautiful detail!
Maria stunned in her Rue de Seine Bridal Fox gown – the floral lace and off the shoulder straps added the perfect bohemian elegance to suit the Palm Springs setting!
Oscar embraced their jewel tone palette in a midnight blue suit with a deep plum pocket square.
The pair beamed amid the golden sunshine, palm trees, and blooming bougainvillea that make this desert oasis so magical!
Maria let her bridesmaids pick their own silhoutte for a mismatched bridal party in white maxi dresses! The textural floral lace and bombshell fit of her dress made it clear which lady in white was the bride! Oak and The Owl accented the airy bridal styling with lush bouquets of white, nude, and blush flowers – fall leaves and berries added a subtle wash of color to the flowers.
Maria and Oscar shared a secret with their guests during the heartfelt ceremony – the couple were already married! The former high school sweethearts reconnected after years apart and it only took seven months for them to be sure they had found their person. Their secret elopement led to three happy years and the most adorable child together before they decided to exchange vows in front of friends and family!
A barely blush backdrop created the perfect focal point for their ceremony, with flower and leaf installations adding color and texture. The bohemian rug that lined their aisle gave guests a glimpse of the decor to come!
Their escort card wall was a nod to their intimate elopement – ‘You’re my Best Kept Secret’ read the custom backdrop holding individual journals Betlem Calligraphy hand painted for each guest.
Reception decor is where the design brilliance of Amorology truly gets to shine! The couple’s palette of earthy neutrals and rich jewel tones came together in eclectic tabletops adorned with burnt gold linens or bohemian patterned tale runners.
They combined dusty rose, powder blue, aqua, and antique gold to create layered tablescapes in the most dreamy color palette. The hand lettered table numbers featured the same watercolor accents as their escort card journals!
This chic Sweetheart Table echoes the mid century modern style that is indelible to Palm Springs!
Folklore Vintage Rentals transformed their ceremony site into the most chic bohemian lounge for guests to relax in!
Their delectable menu included specialty cocktails inspired by the bride and groom, with a “Hush Hush’ combination of champagne, St. Germain, cucumber, and mint, and a the ‘Boysenblue’ for police officer Oscar pairing muddled blackberries with tequila and lime!
They had a blast designed their dessert table as well, with nurse Maria’s must-have coffee bar paired with cop Oscar’s donuts! A fringed table square added the perfect boho touch to the farm table dessert display, with the pièce de résistance in a cake from Hey There, Cupcake that combines two key elements of Palm Springs style – pastel color and patterns!
