My color loving heart is smitten with this vibrant wedding inspiration shoot with modern chic European style! Breanna McKendrick Photography and Chancey Charm created this gorgeous shoot to appeal to a modern jet set couple, or those of us who dream of adventuring around the globe. They brought the colors, flavors, and architecture of Spain to Texas for this bold and glamorous wedding shoot!
Colorful European Style for a Chic Modern Wedding
The historic chapel at Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs, Texas, created the perfect environment to bring European style to life in the US. The sunbaked bell tower and natural landscaping reminded the lovely couple standing in as bride and groom of Barcelona, the city where they met and fell in love. Unbridaled boutique in Austin offered a glamorous Alexandra Grecco wedding dress for the bride, creating a sexy modern bridal look with the gown’s plunging neckline and high slit. The elegant simplicity of the A-line silhouette and delicate gray lace was the perfect canvas to showcase a colorful bouquet of fuchsia, peach, and yellow from Whim Hospitality. For the groom, The Black Tux offered a dramatic, modern tuxedo with a subtle pin dot pattern and shawl collar. The couple looked every inch the stylish jet setters with their cosmopolitan wedding style!
The Spanish style inspiration took on a Southwestern spin with the gorgeous reception laid in front of the golden stone chapel. Aqua silk linens and fuchsia pink napkins provided a pop of vibrant color to the rustic farm table, set with jewel tone summer floral arrangements in concrete planters. The cocktail lounge added a dramatic contrast with luxe neutral tones accented with modern gold geometric decor. For the reception, Whim Hospitality created a tapas inspired menu including grilled peach wrapped shaved Iberico ham with a parsley-pepita pistou on a heart skewer, cucumber-mint gazpacho with smoked paprika seared shrimp and pimiento crema, and an heirloom tomato, Castel Vetrano olive, and aged manchego croustade. The signature cocktails also offered a Spanish flair, including the “Valencia” Orange – a mix of bourbon, mandarin juice, orange blossom water, mint bitters and sparkling water – and a concoction of champagne, raspberry poblano simple syrup, Spanish gin, and lemon juice.
This carefully crafted editorial managed to include glamorous old world styling down to the last detail, including a vintage inspired engagement ring! As a fabulous finishing touch, Sweet Treets Bakery created a beautiful tiered wedding cake with a Spanish tile motif in dramatic blue and pink hues!

Oh, Ariana, thank you SO much for sharing this editorial with the world. You might not believe this but 80% of my closet is neutral so this was a s-t-r-e-t-c-h for my creative muscles. But, man, am I glad I look on the challenge! I am so grateful to the entire team for running with this vision and for their help to edit down the details to create an editorial that was both vibrant and elegant.
P.S. Isn’t the fact that our real-life couple met while abroad just the most serendipitous! Love that you shared that tidbit with your readers.
