I think Amy and Tim’s colorful barn wedding in San Luis Obispo will go down as one of my all time favorites! The couple managed to plan a beautiful and heartfelt wedding day that celebrated their love of travel, love of dance, and deep love for each other. They worked with an amazing team of Central Coast wedding vendors, including fine art photographer Jen Rodriguez and planner Vanessa Noel Events to create one of most fabulously fun days ever!
WEDDING VIDEO –
The couple started as friends after meeting at Chapman University and their relationship didn’t blossom into love for over a year. The time they spent getting to know each other before dating and getting engaged assured them that they were marrying their best friend!
The bride and groom planned a colorful barn wedding at Greengate Ranch and Vineyards in the Central Coast of California, finding the perfect way to marry country music, travel-inspired details, and chic bohemian decor for some truly creative wedding details!
Their color palette combined dreamy pastel shades, from the bridesmaids’ Jenny Yoo maxi dresses, the country garden bouquets in sherbet shades of peach and pink by Noonan Designs, and the most stunning dessert display ever! They added pops of bold color, thanks to vibrant bougainvillea accents in their floral decor, with blue and white Grecian urns filled with pampas grass to line their ceremony aisle and adorn their escort card display.
The rolling hills and vineyards of the ranch offered the most beautiful backdrop for their pre-wedding photos with the bridal party and their intimate First Look before the ceremony.
Guests gathered on the lawn by the Willow Pond, where rustic cane back chairs were set on either side of the aisle leading to a rustic arch covered in pink roses, greenery, and bold pinkl bougainvillea vines.
After their sweet ceremony, everyone made their way to the Wood Barn and Courtyard, where they were met with the most stunning seating chart and escort card display! To showcase their love of traveling the world together, Nicole Miyuki Santo hand-lettered a canvas globe with ‘I’d Go Anywhere With You’. Each table was named after one of the couple’s destinations, including South Africa, Italy, Myanmar, Ghana, Morocco, and Singapore!
They embraced upscale country style for the colorful barn wedding reception, with a mix of round and long farm tables set up in the courtyard. White and gold patterned tablecloths added to the warm, neutral feel of the cane wood chairs and farm tables, with embroidered blue table runners accenting the pastel pedestal flower centerpieces and jars of pampas grass.
They added a stunning statement element to the reception by draping the open doors to the barn with curtains and greenery garlands, adding massive vases of bougainvillea and dried grasses to add color, texture, and metallic details!
Guests were treated to a country song-themed bar, with custom cocktails named Sunshine & Whiskey! Hers was made of vodka, strawberries, lime juice, and ginger beer, while his lived up to its name with bourbon, lemon juice and simple syrup! Fun stationery details by Prim and Pixie included the watercolor illustrations for their wedding weekend invitations as well as their custom bar signs!
The happy couple made an unforgettable reception entrance by dancing their way down the hill to the barn and straight into their First Dance! Their portrait session in the vineyards with Jen Rodriguez showcased the most beautiful sunset light to capture these incredible portraits!
Now we get to the pièce de résistance – the work of art that is their dessert display! Atascadero baker Just Baked Events referenced the classic Chris Stapleton song with a display as ‘Sweet as Strawberry Wine’! Watercolor calligraphy cards introduced sweets like huckleberry macarons, blood orange dipped Rice Krispy treats, vanilla strawberry cupcakes, cake pops, and more! Gold geometric accents turned a vintage white breakfront into a farmhouse-inspired bakery window that enticed everyone at the party!
The treats didn’t stop there! The couple served refreshing scoops out of Negranti’s Creamery ice cream truck to help beat the heat at their summer barn wedding reception! They held an epic Sunshine & Whiskey dance party in the barn to wrap up the most stunning wedding day!
