This truly stunning wedding from Carlie Statsky Photography and Coastside Couture blends classic Hollywood chic with the old world beauty of Carmel! The elegance of Pasadera Country Club was the perfect counter point to Mia and Dave’s dream of a day that celebrated the golden age of Hollywood.
The cinematic styling of their wedding day reflected Mia and Dave’s love of storybook romance. The LA-based couple envisioned a ceremony that incorporated their passion for Hollywood’s golden era of movies and music. The graphic designer groom created a black tie-inspired invitation suite with an elegant vintage theme, including an old-fashioned dance card! The old-world California elegance of Pasadera Country Club, nestled in the picturesque Carmel Valley, set the perfect scene for their classically cinematic dream wedding.
As the sun turned the evening light into rich gold, they exchanged vows under an historic oak tree. The gilded beauty of Carmel spread out from their ceremony site in a glorious vista, needing only the barest touch of decoration. Vintage bronze lanterns hung from the branches of the oak, while Fionna Floral created a floral archway to mark the end of the aisle. She set lush green and white arrangements throughout the European-inspired villa, from the wreath decorating the grand entry way to the bride’s classic cascade bouquet.
To realize her dream of an Audrey Heburn meets Jackie O bridal look, Mia found a gorgeous princess-inspired Romona Keveza gown from Panache Beverly Hills. The bridesmaids wore elegant J.Crew dresses in the aptly named hue ‘Monterey Pine’. The rich green hue was picked up in the lush arrangements throughout the luxurious courtyard where the reception was held – runners of glossy magnolia leaves and overflowing centerpieces in vintage silver compotes. Guests mingled in the courtyard of the private country club for hand crafted martinis and live jazz before making their way into the intimate reception space. The bride and groom sat on a vintage ivory love seat at the Sweetheart Table before taking their place on the black and white dance floor. Once the last song played and the guests saw Mia and Dave off with a grand sparkler exit, the couple made their get away in a vintage Bentley, the perfect cap to their storybook wedding day!
