Dreaming of a hometown wedding day? The urge to celebrate our roots and history has become all the more important now that it is more difficult to travel and gather. This lovely shoot from Jolene Barker Photography and Francesca Schettini celebrates that gorgeous marriage between our hometown roots and the places that we make home when we spread our wings! With a gorgeous setting in the white barn at Farmhill Weddings, they combined city chic style with country charm to find the perfect marriage of both looks!
How lovely is this macrame ceremony backdrop? The exposed brick wall created a stunning ceremony set up, inviting city chic style into the decor while the greenery and pampas grass arrangements and woven tassel hangings brought in organic textures and rustic sweetness!
The stunning dresses from Bliss Bridal were specially chosen to represent two sides to each bride! The flowing silk charmeuse gown featured ethereal sheer bishop sleeves to give a simple silhouette a unique look. With it’s subtly luxurious finish and modern details, it perfectly captured city sophistication – the perfect fit for an urban wedding with romance that can be worn anywhere! For a more rustic yet still modern bridal look, a classic A-line lace dress was chosen. The sheer v-neck bodice added a fresh twist on the timeless look to blend country charm with an updated feel!
By Francesca Weddings mixed up the flowers by incorporating fresh blooms and preserved grasses, as well as mixing fruits and vegetables into the reception arrangements. The result? An eclectically modern design that felt true to farm to table roots and brought out the perfect hometown wedding feel!
Hometown Wedding Reception with Rustic and Industrial Decor
Creative event rentals from Chairman Mills added the perfect industrial farmhouse look to the wedding reception – the perfect choice for a country meets city design in a barn wedding venuer! Modern black chairs, hanging bistro lights, and farm to table organic centerpieces combined to create an airy and welcoming seating arrangement.
The country charm reception table incorporated textured linen table cloths with striped napkins, bringing in the perfect modern farmhouse dining table setting. Arrangements of fresh greenery and white flowers took on a unique look with blooming cabbage heads to add texture and style! The subtle colors in the gray linens and dipped flatware added a gorgeous neutral charm to the tabletop decor.
The city-inspired table drew inspiration from farmer’s markets and Sunday brunch arrangements to find that homey feeling in the bustle of an urban setting.
A runner of bud vases down the center of a farm table added soft color in peach, pink, and white alongside minimal place settings with a pop of aqua!
For the farm to table dessert display, Spiced Upp Cakes created a petite dessert in dusty blue, topped with a blush sugar flower!
Ready to take things outdoors! The alpaca farm at Farmhill Weddings provided the perfect setting for this stunning rustic celebration! The dark wood hexagon backdrop was a stunning photo feature, with dried grass arrangements to add a modern bohemian touch to the country setting!
