There are few shoots more charming than Courtney and Derek’s chic styled engagement! This gorgeous pair celebrated their engagement with a romantic session in Dallas, beautifully captured by Anna Smith Photography. The adventurous and fun duo chose to showcase two different sides of their personalities with their portraits, blending classic formal portraits with a casual chic style that paired lower key ensembles with sweet vintage props. Courtney’s picks beautifully blended her modern style with the classic rose gold engagement ring from Derek, pairing a vivid coral maxi dress with a gorgeous floral print parasol! Derek looked GQ ready in a perfectly fitted black suit and pale blue shirt – gents, this is the perfect engagement look! Their surroundings suited the formal vibe of their styling – the warm stone and classic columns of a private residence in their hometown of Dallas provided the ideal backdrop.

The romantic setting of Courtney’s ring inspired the more relaxed photos in their session – blue jeans and a floral lace top reflected a more relaxed but still fabulous every day style, while vintage decor added lovely props to their already gorgeous photos. Anna’s goal was to capture the fun, adventurous, and lighthearted nature of this gorgeous couple, which I think it’s safe to say she accomplished!
