You’ll want your twirling shoes on for this watercolor wedding dress inspiration! The playful colors in the bride’s amazing skirt from Sweet Caroline Styles inspired the juicy citrus tones in this modern color blocked wedding shoot by Clover Event Co. and Ruffled Blog. The whimsical styling is perfect for a farmhouse-inspired wedding at WoodsEdge Farm, where the alpacas made for the sweetest guests at this intimate elopement shoot from Morgan Taylor Artistry!
Add color with a watercolor wedding dress
Ready for vibrant color to take the wheel? This gorgeous invitation suite by One and Only Paper layered summery citrus colors of peach, coral, and yellow with subtler lavender and white patterns to create a harmonious and utterly stunning paper set. Add in gloriously pink roses and a velvet ring box by Voeu Du Coeur to display the pear shaped diamond engagement ring by Melissa Tyson Designs, and you have the makings of a flatlay that celebrates color above all!
Would you Wear a Watercolor Wedding Dress?
How fabulous is this bridal separates look from Sweet Caroline Styles? The long sleeve lace top and patterned skirt combine into a romantic watercolor wedding dress in pink and white!
Florist Kerry Patel Designs used the pink shades in the bride’s skirt to build the colorful flower palette – she leaned in to the playful wedding style with a rustic ceremony arch strung with hanging garlands of rosebuds! The beautiful design felt natural to the farm setting while still adding pops of whimsical color that unified the decor!
The bride’s gorgeous bouquet brought summer sunshine with a clutch of buttery yellow roses, daisies, and ranunculus – some sunset pink roses added to the layers of color that created the fun floral details.
If your guest count is limited for your wedding, you have to make every invite count! Why not these charming alpacas? The cuddly denizens of WoodsEdge Farm were happy to stand in as guests and only tried to nibble on the bride’s bouquet once or twice. The bride’s watercolor wedding dress amped up the playful aspect, making the alpaca guests the perfect attendees!
Color Blocked Farmhouse Wedding Reception
Ready to punch things up? This fabulous seating chart brings color blocking to a whole new level! No need to go too structured with a seating arrangement like this – a little variation is part of the fun! Alternating pink, yellow, and peach cards announced each guests’ name and table number, with colorful blooms left over from the arrangements adding to the fun celebration of color!
Looking to add color to a barn wedding reception? This stunning drapery installation varied colored panels to create a unique backdrop! The styling team balanced the playful colors with natural wood farm tables and chairs for the reception design, but snuck in a fun twist! How amazing is the flower runner with blossoms raining over a chiffon table linen?
If you’re looking for the perfect mix of modern color to spice up your wedding tabletop, this is it! Star fruit and dragon fruit gave the floral runner some added edge, along with white ceramic candlesticks and gold-rimmed glassware. Borrowed Blu created elegant place settings that One and Only Paper finished off with a tasseled diamond menu card!
You know it’s a good party when your cake matches your dress! Sugar Realm used the bride’s watercolor wedding dress as inspiration for the painted tiers on this colorful confection. The sugar flower cake topper added bolder colors with a celebratory waterfall from the top tier.
Time to play! These lovely furry guests gamely wore greenery garlands and stood in as the bridal party – thanks for joining us, alpacas!
