As much as wedding bloggers – myself included, obviously – love to talk about wedding trends and the next big trends, we have to bow down to the brides, grooms, and designers and they have spoken. This summer is all about warm neutral wedding inspiration, with a cashmere and champagne palette taking center stage. Be prepared to see lots of this sweet color combination this season – champagne satin linens, ivory and blush centerpieces, and taupe bridesmaids will be huge this season. When I think about a design, I’m usually immediately drawn to color, the richer the better, and it took a long time for me to get on board with neutrals. A softer, tone on tone palette may not make a bold impact, but the focus this season is on romance and classic elegance.
Play off that delicateness with soft, rounded floral arrangements of lush, loose blooms accented by jeweled green leaves, lit by flickering candlelight. Keep fabrics flowing – sheer draperies framing the entrance of a reception canopy, floor length chiffon skirts, tulle runners cascading down the Head Table. Add just a hint of sparkle for a sophisticated touch amongst the natural decor, like glittering shoes or jeweled votives mixed among clear and mercury glass. Most importantly – the theme wouldn’t be complete without plenty of the bubbly!
