Bright and Colorful Classic Fall Wedding

Definitely loving the bright and cheerful hues of today’s colorful classic fall wedding! Photographers Lukas & Suzy beautifully captured the late autumn light in Southern California, with the hacienda-style Oak Creek Golf Club serving as the perfect backdrop for Janine and Sven’s wedding day. This sweet couple loves bright colors, so Janine worked with Fantasy Floral Designs to create a palette of harvest colors that was both bright and cheerful. Her sunny yellow bridesmaids dresses and bright pink peonies created a gorgeous contrast to more traditional foliage colors in deep red and gold. Other than the initial design brief, their florist was given free rein, and came up with beautiful and unique arrangements for their ceremony and tables – bright bunches of flowers spilling out of wrought iron lanterns, or topping columns of birch bark.

Their ceremony took full advantage of the sunny Irvine fall, with the venue’s warm stucco facade as the backdrop to the splashes of color from their flowers. Janine walked down an aisle lined with brilliant fall leaves, past family members seated on a vintage carved wooden bench in the first row. Her beautiful gown channeled old Hollywood glamour with a wonderful nod to her groom – Sven’s love of plaid shirts was echoed in the intricate diamond beading on her wedding dress! The groomsmen channeled his favorite pattern as well, in plaid ties and colorful socks. Sven himself looked handsome in a black tuxedo and bow tie, but he had a chance to get in on the fun after the reception. Janine incorporated a wonderful tradition from her family’s Creole roots and gave guests hand-painted masks, parasols, and handkerchief favors to wave during the ‘Second Line’ processional at the end of the night!
