Two of the most timeless wedding trends intersect in this botanical meets bohemian event inspiration! Treebird Photography and Design a Dream Events were inspired by the organic garden setting of The Atrium by Ligon Flynn in Wilmington, NC, to create this beautifully natural wedding design with vintage bridal style and antique rustic decor!

Botanical Meets Bohemian Wedding Design

The contemporary garden space of the venue, from its living greenery wall to the modern architecture, played a huge role in inspiring the style of this lovely wedding shoot! Design a Dream Events took inspiration from the open air cathedral of the Atrium to create a unique ceremony against the lush greenery of the downtown ‘secret garden’. Modern gold decor and tall pillar candles accented the greenery lining the aisle between rustic white chairs, leading to a ceremony backdrop lined with antique doors. The team created an intimate backdrop for photos of the bride and groom with hanging geometric shapes and wreaths of greenery to create a stunning photo op!

The bride’s fitted lace wedding dress with a low back and flutter sleeves perfectly suited the vintage bohemian style of the day! Lumina Beauty Bar styled her long hair with a partial updo that cascaded into low waves and showed off her vintage chandelier earrings. Verzaal’s Florist incorporated the botanical greenery from the rest of the decor into a stunning bouquet of grape vines, lambs ear, garnet chrysanthemums, blush roses, and deep purple artichokes. The gorgeous jewel tones picked up in the reception decor, accented a rustic white barn wood table draped in a raw silk runner and adorned with clear glass candle holders. Gold chargers, burgundy napkins, and patterned china stood out against the climbing ivy of the living wall behind the Head Table. Embroidery hoops decorated with blush and burgundy flowers made for stunning hanging decor over the reception space.

To add a unique touch to the wedding reception, Flying Cloud Bars created signature cocktails with citrus and herb infusions to play off the botanical styling. The barn wood bar  made for a gorgeous focal point accented with Verzaal’s floral and greenery wreath. Imaginary Cakes styled a three tier fondant masterpiece with an amethyst marbled layer, hand lettered gold decor, and intricate sugar flowers. The rustic dessert display wound with ivy and surrounded by glowing pillar candles created a memorable finishing touch!
