I could not have been more excited to see this stunning bold bridal style shoot from photographer Alexandra Wallace, hairstylist Ana Garcia Cheadle, and makeup artist Amanda Olsen in my inbox! I’ve come to love the neutral trend lately, although I took awhile to come around, but like Alexandra, my first love will always be for bold, vibrant color. This shoot just so happens to deliver it in spades! This incredibly talented team put together a gorgeous boho bridal look, centered around the Mademoiselle gown from indie bridal fave, Sarah Seven. The gown’s sleek, flowing skirt and sweetheart neckline, overlaid with gorgeous floral lace, made for a stunning, textural background for dramatic makeup and a brilliant pink and red bouquet from Blissful Blossoms! The rich red of garden roses and hot pink of ruffled peonies played beautifully off the bride’s crimson lip and smoky eye, and added to the rich, jewel tones of the vintage velvet settee. The open lace back and coiled braided updo polish off a look that is romantic, bohemian, and just a little edgy – perfect for an autumn bride!
Bridal Style
Reception style
Not ones to rest on some pretty fantastic looking laurels, this team put together a second look to transition the gorgeous bridal style into a chic reception outfit! Alexandra’s vision for the second look was ‘elegant, while also conveying a vibe that says, “My groom and I are going to ride off into the sunset on a fierce vintage motorcycle” ‘ The gorgeous black lace and tulle Nha Khanh dress managed to hit that perfect sweet spot of chic and edgy, especially when paired with black peep toe pumps! The transition couldn’t be complete without adjusting hair and makeup – the stylists loosened the braided updo into a single, messy fishtail, and transitioned the bright red lip to a deeper berry to play off the dark tones!
