Bold color is on display in today’s shoot with a black wedding dress jewel toned fall florals. The The Happy Bloom and French Knot Studios created this inspiration shoot to showcase the dark side of wedding design with a moody color palette and an unexpected twist on bridal styling!
A gorgeous black wedding dress from Elizabeth Mackenzie made a stunning statement at the heart of this shoot, with long sleeves of black lace and a drop waist cascading into layers of gray and ivory tulle. Cucumber & Mint picked up the moody colors in the bride’s dramatic makeup, with a stunning black and gold smokey eye and crimson lip. Pairing the bride’s gown and the champagne bridesmaid dress with jewel toned fall flowers added a punch of bold color to the moody autumn hues.
The idyllic grounds of Wavering Place were decked in their seasonal best, with fiery fall leaves adorning the trees on the estate. The elegant country charm of the South Carolina venue got a modern punch from the unconventional styling of this stunning wedding inspiration. Bold color ruled the day, from berries on the chocolate frosted cake to the watercolor invitations in aubergine and gold. The drama of the color palette was offset by moments of unexpected sweetness, like flowers floating in the old stone well, and a cotton candy station to delight the guests!
