One of my new favorite wedding trends are creative elopement ideas and this stunning shoot brings the perfect touch of boho style! Southern California wedding pros Kyrsten Ashlay Photography and Love Sparrows brought moody bohemian style to a rustic winter wedding at Owl Creek Farms. The cozy Temecula Valley venue inspired a dramatic palette of burgundy and gold to accent the red barn, dusty green oak trees, and winter sunlight over the fields. A bell sleeve wedding dress from Pallas Couture, crystal headpiece, and geode cake by Alicia Loves to Bake gave this indie wedding shoot the perfect touch of glam!

Boho Style for a Rustic Winter Wedding

The initial concept for this chic indie wedding shoot spun off from a hand crafted macrame dream catcher that served as the focal point for the intimate reception and gorgeous portraits! The beautiful pattern and luxe boho style inspired the intricate gold decor and vintage rugs that served as a backdrop for the ceremony under an old oak tree. Floral designer and stylist Love Sparrows incorporated organic textures in every detail, from the pampas grass arrangements to the bride’s bouquet of burgundy and pearl gray roses, cotton pods, and pussy willows. The dramatic colors added a beautiful accent to her daring Pallas Couture wedding dress, with luxe boho lace and sheer bell sleeves! Divine Eyes created a headpiece fit for a queen, with a crown of raw quartz crystals to create a festival inspired accent! The groom kept things winter chic in a velvet suit jacket and burgundy bow tie.

A intimate table was set under a thousand year old oak tree on the rustic property, with vintage rugs and textured pillows to create a cozy atmosphere. Natural gray stoneware and hand lettered agate escort cards created a beautifully layered tablescape with more of the signature burgundy florals. Alicia Loves to Bake incorporated the rich colors in a breathtaking geode wedding cake served on a vintage mirrored tray. The sweet couple basked in the winter sunlight at their intimate reception and jammed together as part of their shared love of music!
