We’ve all had to be a little extra flexible since March 2020 – for Lauren and Adam, that meant pivoting from their Italy destination wedding to a boho lounge wedding on a private estate in upstate New York. With just two months to turn around their entire wedding plans, Lauren turned into full planner-bride, getting creative with dried flower arrangements she could prep ahead of time, a farm to table menu for their thirty guests, and adorable personal details inspired by the couple’s corgi! Stunning photojournalistic captures by Rachel Leiner made sure every memory would be preserved, especially the portraits of their fabulous bridal party and the bride’s stunning high fashion attire, from her Galia Lahav bridal gown to her fun reception jumpsuit!
Relaxed Vibes for a Boho Lounge Wedding
Two months to re-plan your entire dream Italian wedding has unfortunately become the norm for a lot of couples this past year, but Lauren didn’t let it get her down! She brought Tuscan elements into their re-envisioned micro wedding at a private estate in Swan Lake, NY, and as a total bonus – their adorable corgi was able to attend!
After spending 8 months planning for the original event in Italy, we knew what it took to plan a wedding. We put our micro wedding plan together in exactly two months. To all the couples out there who feel discouraged with COVID, know that there are no standards, rules, or expectations, and it’s a time to do exactly what you – as a couple– want to celebrate your marriage. We initially thought that we would want a larger celebration when social distancing guidelines are lifted, but we feel so full of love and satisfaction with how this micro wedding turned out. It was extremely intimate and unique and would not have changed a thing!
Lauren, the planner and bride
How gorgeous is this real bride? Lauren dazzled in the beaded floral Galia Lahav couture dress, with crystal huggy earrings that matches the embellished details on her gown.
The couple held a first look with the bride and groom – and the ring bearer dog, George the Corgi – to capture amazing moments before their intimate wedding ceremony.
Lauren and her bridal party got hands on to create DIY wedding decor! She sourced dried grasses, silk flowers, and preserved palm fronds from Bohemian Revival Shop and Afloral to create the stunning ceremony pillars that brought airy details to their outdoor wedding ceremony.
George the Corgi took his ring bearer duties very seriously in his custom made doggy suit!
Their wedding consisted of just thirty guests – their bridal party and their close family who were all able to quarantine before the big day. With such a small group, the couple requested that everyone wear white to create a cohesive color scheme for their photos. Adding in rustic wood touches, airy neutrals, and the great outdoors and they created a stunning luxe bohemian color palette!
Each of the bridesmaids – and the bride’s man! – wore a minimalist white outfit. They held bouquets by Lulo + Ly Floral Studio for a monochromatic color scheme.
With a small micro wedding gathering, the guests sat at long tables outdoors. Bistro lights overhead illuminated the rustic farm tables, with dried flower arrangements that the bride prepped herself ahead of time.
With a small guest list, the couple were able to personalize details of their wedding to a greater extent – they included personalized wine charms to help guests hold on their glasses, custom menus by EG Lettering, and a curated selection of flatware and china to add the perfect feel to the long farm tables.
Their tabletop was adorned with white china, copper flatware, and neutral rattan chargers to create a gorgeously natural color palette for dinner. Personalized details brought in their Corgi, with the Corgi Spirits bottles, wax seals for the dinner menus, custom cocktail napkins, the custom acrylic cocktail menu.
The cake had a whimsical pressed flower motif to accent the natural colors and textures of the rest of their wedding details!
To capture the boho lounge wedding vibe, Lauren changed into an ASAR Jumpsuit for the reception. Their goal was to relax and enjoy their small party, with safe ways to celebrate with their guests!
We chose to highlight our favorite wines & spirits, and the farm to table food in upstate New York, and to forego a DJ and dancefloor to practice social distancing. We instead created a boho chic lounge, complete with a vintage mobile tap car (prosecco, craft beer, and a blackberry vodka cocktail on tap), an intimate dinner reception, and cozy bonfire.

The Wandering Wheels cocktail Caravan and cozy boho lounge was the perfect place for the couple to relax and unwind with guests after their whirlwind last-minute wedding plans!
