I am delighting in the current trend towards adventurous and intimate weddings, especially when they capture the heart and beauty of this boho elopement in Joshua Tree! Golden sunshine, colorful Southwestern flowers, and a Rue De Seine Bridal wedding dress turned the desert into the perfect indie oasis for real couple Juan-Pablo and Carolyn to renew their vows! Events By Zeiry and Desert Bloom Floral Designs made sure every moment looked picture perfect, while Erica Melissa Photography captured moments the couple and their sweet children can cherish for a lifetime!
Boho Elopement Ideas for Adventure Lovers
I love featuring stylish wedding inspiration, but everything is more beautiful when it has a love story behind it! This sweet Miami-based wedding team wanted to make sure their bride and groom captured the heart behind this design and fell in love with married couple Juan-Pablo and Carolyn! They incorporated their twelve years of marriage into the shoot, giving the couple the chance to exchange heartfelt vows in the stunning natural setting! Their three children, who often wondered why none of them were pictured in their parents’ wedding album, got the chance to play their parts and walk down the aisle with the rings, bringing this sweet family full circle in the most beautiful way possible.
The bride’s off the shoulder lace Rue De Seine Bridal wedding dress from a&be´bridal shop brought the perfect touch of bohemian bridal glamour to the rugged Joshua Tree landscape. Desert Bloom Floral Designs played off the textural lace by creating a vibrantly colored bouquet in Southwestern-inspired hues of red, umber, burnt orange, and turquoise. Birds of paradise and proteas added a splash of color to the modern industrial wedding ceremony arch, built from copper pipes and adorned with California greenery. Patterned rugs and rustic wood benches created a simple yet eye-catching aisle that felt organic to the desert landscape.
After tearfully renewing their heartfelt vows, the couple’s children joined them at the mid-century modern inspired reception! Potted cacti and pheasant feather place cards played off the surroundings, with a mix of neutral greens and browns accented by bold orange colors to create a dramatic tablescape.
