You’ll be floating on cloud nine thanks to the heavenly details in this frost blue wedding inspiration from Glass Darkly Photos and Code Peach Events! The venue at Whimsy Pasadena was transformed into a cloudscape thanks to foam free dried flower installations, a celestial moon backdrop, and a beautifully designed wedding shoot with every element chosen to symbolize the openness, vulnerability, and faith that it takes to find a lasting love.
Code Peach Events took an incredible approach to styling this frost blue wedding shoot – not only did the creative team carefully curate the colors, details, and vendors that came into designing this beautiful inspiration, but they used the way new found love can make you feel to give the styling a whole new dimension! The blue, silver, and white colors were chosen to represent the vulnerability and courage it takes to open yourself up to love and the bliss that comes when you find it and are floating on cloud nine!
The airy industrial venue at Whimsy Pasadena was transformed into a celestial ceremony thanks to the talents of Figure Eight Florals & Events! The foam free floral installations were not only sustainable and eco-friendly, but captured the heavenly feeling with gypsophilia clouds, dried silver plumosa and dried lunaria.
The Joy Haven created the full moon backdrop that looked as though it was rising out of lavender scented dried limonium, gypsophilia, blue delphiniums, beautiful Playablanca roses, silver and blue plumosa. Preserved flowers were chosen to symbolize the dreams the bride has held all her life of finding the love of a lifetime. Silver bowls overflowing with cascading bleach dried amaranthus and phalenopsis orchids added a high impact effect to the celestial moon backdrop!
The bride’s look was chosen to create a simple and stunning silhouette against the detailed ceremony decor. She wore a fitted crepe and lace wedding dress from La Soie Bridal, while the flower girl almost stole the show in a blue tulle dress from The Flower Girl Dress that the planner personalized with butterfly details on the skirt!
The groom looked sharp in a three piece suit from Friar Tux – the light gray was a nod to the open and airy color scheme with a frost blue tie and preserved flower boutonniere to bring it all together.
The shoot perfectly captures the breathtaking moments leading up to the walk down the aisle. Strings by Nancy heightened the emotion of the shoot by playing “Best Part” by H.E.R. and Daniel Cesar as the bride walked down the aisle – the couple’s favorite song!
A beautiful real couple stood in as the bride and groom for this inspiration shoot, and you can feel the love radiate in every photo.
The reception table utilized clear, mirrored, and acrylic details to create open and airy decor that represented the celestial styling. The main centerpiece included a garland of dried salal leaves with a hint of blue color to play up the frosty tones of the palette.
The bride changed into a stunning reception dress with a flowing full skirt that echoed the whimsical and ethereal inspiration of the shoot!
Code Peach Events demonstrated how couples can make the most of their wedding budget by repurposing decor – the stunning celestial moon backdrop from the ceremony made another appearance behind the Sweetheart Table, with the garlands of dried flowers becoming a cloud of blossoms around the acrylic table. The ceremony arrangements in silver bowls became the perfect table decor to accent the bride’s bouquet as the centerpiece!
The cake and dessert table ran with the frost blue wedding colors, thanks to a stunning moving ice sculpture with a floating cake by Edible 360 – Chef Luis and Finalee Floral Cakes! Sweets from My Favorite Sweets Favors and Fill Me Up Cookies filled the dessert display with beautifully detailed treats!
A butterfly release to close the wedding was the perfect symbol to signify the transformation an individual goes through before they become part of a couple. The butterfly’s emergence from the cocoon was chosen to symbolize the transition they make together as a married couple, and the fluttering joy they feel on their wedding day.
The butterflies added a personal note to the beautiful bride and groom who stood up for the shoot, as they had supported each other through great loss and become stronger together for it. They used the butterfly release to honor the parents they missed, and were touched when the butterflies chose to circle and stay with them instead of flying away.
