Alternative Wedding Timelines to Shake Up how We Celebrate in the Age of COVID

COVID has changed everything about the way we celebrate, but Denise Apgar Photography and Events by Kristina Elyse have managed to find the silver lining! They’re ready to change up the rule book and create an unconventional wedding day timeline to put the focus on quality time and fabulous photos for even the most intimate micro wedding! They dreamed up this alternate wedding order of events at the stunning Northern California estate at Park Winters – celebrating with a cocktail lounge, cake, and sunset photos that breathe new life into the way we celebrate! Add a stunning and unique bridal look from Grace & White Bridal, and you’ve got the most chic way to celebrate a minimony in style!

Northern California weddings just got a whole lot easier to envision!

Sunny color is the perfect antidote to wedding planning stress – this gray marbled backdrop perfectly showcases the bride’s gorgeous yellow bow peep toe shoes and her crystal jewelry alongside some of the happiest orange, coral, and white flowers!

This gorgeous gown by Beccar Couture combines an architectural bodice with flowing skirt! The spread of the elegant A-line dress made a stunning statement against the black velvet lounge settee by Celebrations! Party Rentals.

The structured dress manages to flow thanks to layers of pleated chiffon! Florist Fig & Vine went for loose and unstructured for a greenery garland to drape across the back of the vintage velvet settee – the perfect backdrop for a stunning portrait session!

Makeup by Susie wanted to play off the strong, structured vibes of the dress for the bride’s makeup – a little sexy and a little edgy! She chose a deeper lip color to stand out against the rich backdrop, and gave the bride a smoky eye to make them pop. Hair stylist Michele DeeAnn created a low upswept hairstyle with elegant face-framing tendrils and set it off with a stunning crystal haircomb.

Dogs are a bride’s best friend! Minnie nearly stole the show in her flower collar – the cutest look for a dog ring bearer!

Wedding rules have gone out the window thanks to COVID – rather than run on a traditional wedding timeline, this fabulous team dreamed up an alternative way to lay out your wedding day! From the fabulous portrait set up, they lead into a cozy lounge area for an intimate gathering to sit, catch up, and enjoy cocktails and popsicles!

Celebrations Party Rentals embraced the on-trend industrial farmhouse style for this chic lounge, playing off the white barn venue exterior with black velvet chairs and a Mid Century Modern gathering table with hairpin legs.

Time for cake! A wooden farm table and a festive flower wreath created a stunning dessert display for Baker & A Black Cat‘s geometric white wedding cake!

The bride changed into an undeniably sexy wedding dress with a sweet edge – the Goddess by Nature gown featured a slit skirt and a sheer pearl embroidered lace bodice. A pearl adorned long veil by Untamed Petals added to the soft romance of the bride’s cake cutting look.

How much fun is this white-on-white geometric wedding cake! The triangular pattern resembles chic tiles for a fun and unexpected cake texture while the flower wreath cake stand let the minimalist dessert shine!

Delicate white and yellow flowers, a rosy champagne lip and eye color, and a soft updo brought romance to this dreamy garden bridal look!

With a smaller guest count and an unconventional wedding day timeline, there’s plenty of time for sunset photos! The bride let loose for a romantic magic hour photo session with long loose waves instead of keeping her hair up – the better to go with the flow of her Gabrielle gown by Leanne Marshall!

Without a timeline to stick to, our bride was down for an adventure, frolicking through the exclusive venue grounds at Park Winters!

The Northern California estate had plenty of fun places for photos, and their quick pivot to Microweddings, Minimonies and Elopements offers COVID couples a lot of options to safely celebrate.

From a modern white barn to a Victorian house, the stunning portrait backdrops left nothing to be desired for this momentous moment with a mini guest list!
