This talented North Carolina wedding team wanted to create the perfect inspiration for a stunning event based on blooming cherry blossoms. Their brief but beautiful season and delicate elegance inspired Jenn Eddine Photography and Amanda K Events & Designs to pair the ethereal softness of vintage cherry blossom decor with an industrial event space to create the perfect juxtaposition for a timeless wedding with a modern twist! Add in the soft palette of blush pink and gold, and the stunning off-the-shoulder wedding dress, and you have gorgeous inspiration that can be tailored to any time of year, but makes the most impact when the spring trees are in bloom!
Add a Vintage Cherry Blossom Detail to an Industrial Wedding Day
When it comes to planning a wedding centered around cherry blossom details, the flowers are one of the key elements! Greensboro, NC, florist Grace & Greenery more than rose to the challenge during those brief weeks of the spring blooming season, pairing blossoming branches with garden roses and tulips to create lush, garden-style flower arrangements. The bride’s bouquet was made up of romantic, ruffled flowers that could be easily recreated any time of year – the garden roses, ranunculus, and jasmine vines are choices any bride can make to create this vintage blush bouquet style!
When it came to finding the perfect dress, ethereal and timeless were the two words that came to mind. The delicate sheer bishop sleeves of the off-the-shoulder Madi Lane dress from The Magnolia Bride added to the romance of the corseted sweetheart bodice and full A-line skirt. Lace applique details added scattered blossoms, beautifully calling to mind the flowering spring inspiration. Hair stylist and makeup artist Adore & Co. created a half-up curled hairstyle to add soft flow to the romance of the off-the-shoulder wedding dress with a beautiful hair comb that looked like flowering branches.
The industrial wedding venue in Maiden, North Carolina, added a rough and charming counterpoint to the ethereal design of the vintage cherry blossom decor. Exposed brick walls and cracking stucco added old-world charm to the ceremony space, with deconstructed flower pillars set in front of one of the venue’s original doorways. Live string music by Duo Licht added to the timeless elegance of the the venue and the romantic atmosphere, playing softly while the bride and groom exchanged vows that Maiden September Calligraphy hand lettered as a wonderful keepsake of the wedding day.
While an intimate wedding could easily feel lost in the enormous space of the venue, Party Rentals by Lisa and Sweet Everlasting Vintage Rentals worked with the photographer to create smaller vignettes in the towering space. The cozy reception and lounge areas worked perfectly to transform the hall – capable of seating hundreds of guests – into an inviting space for a small wedding or elopement. To maximize the venue for a smaller guest list, they chose long farm tables for the reception, taking advantage of the length with blush silk table runners and spacing out the low garden flower arrangements with vintage gold candlesticks and tulip glasses. The rentals were chosen to fit the delicacy and romance of the vintage cherry blossom inspiration, pulling the tabletop styling together perfectly!
The exposed brick walls were a dramatic industrial contrast to the lush details chosen for the lounge space, styled with blush and charcoal gray velvet chairs, an antique pink sofa, and contemporary geometric end tables and lanterns to add a modern twist. The bride and groom enjoyed a few private moments in the lounge area between the hustle and bustle of the busy day.
Creamed the Confectionary‘s gorgeous cake was also created to celebrate the beauty of spring – the rose gold texture layers were adorned with edible details that echoed falling petals, cherry flowers, and doves. Fresh flowers and gold branches added a woodland detail to the two-layer cake for gorgeous dimension and an organic touch!
