Imagine the perfect desert retreat wedding. Does it look something like a portrait session in the desert with the last light of the sun creating magical photos, then an intimate dinner on the patio of a Joshua Tree Airbnb rental where you can watch the stars come out? (or host a movie night on the outdoor TV screen – you do you). This stunning shoot feels like a quiet moment in time, where you can hear the wind through the Joshua Trees, taking in the spread of the desert from a private vacation home at Seven Arches. The 1960’s Spanish Ranch style influenced The ShootOut Society to create this rustic bohemian desert wedding shoot, with natural elements woven into the floating ceremony arrangement and the micro-wedding reception table overlooking the desert.

This is the perfect color scheme for your California chic desert wedding – black with white ink lettering, taupe, tan, and hints of blush. The invitations from Wild House Ink brought in the desert hues with kraft paper invites, mid-century modern inspired stationery, and a burned wood design that brought in the perfect rustic touch!
This couple really nailed laid back desert elopement style! The bride’s fitted lace dress from BHLDN created a stunning look with cap sleeves and a low back, showing off her long hairstyle with tousled curls – perfect for a low key bride that embraces nature!
No tie for this groom! An open shirt collar keeps things California casual when you’re out in the desert!
Gorgeous portraits by Andi Artigue Photography manage to capture the golden sunlight that illuminates the desert. The couple let the beauty of the national park serve as their ceremony backdrop for this Joshua Tree desert elopement, with a subtle pampas grass and dried flower backdrop that highlighted one of the trees that make the region so famous. The bride’s pampas grass bouquet also added feathery texture to preserved and fresh flowers – Noble Floral Co used cappuccino roses and fluttering blush ribbons to bring the sunbaked colors of the desert sands into the bride’s gorgeous flowers.
The perfect Joshua Tree Airbnb Elopement Venue:
Back at their Airbnb Joshua Tree rental, the couple were treated to an al fresco elopement reception on the terrace. The eponymous arches that gave the Seven Arches vacation rental its name drew the intimate dinner party gathering to this lovely table on the terrace. Lovingly selected Spanish tiles added to the earth tones of the space, that in turn inspired the planning team at The ShootOut Society to create a mix of natural textures and tones on the long metal dining table.
Woven basket lanterns hung from the pergola rafters over a long table set with an abundance of natural textures. Pottery bud vases, earthenware plates, woven fringed coasters, and rattan chargers added to the blends of organic elements that created this stunning tablescape. Clusters of dried bunny tale grass in monochromatic arrangements and oversized white pillar candles created a long runner down the center of this table for an intimate Joshua tree elopement.
Although events aren’t allowed, the Joshua Tree Airbnb rental sleeps eight, making it the perfect space for an intimate desert retreat elopement for a small gathering, a laid back bachelorette weekend, or a mini-moon to celebrate in style!
Desert Villa Bakery created a breathtaking cake that drew inspiration from nature, with palm frond fans and dried grasses bringing organic texture to the dessert. The clever wooden serving bowl turned cake stand adds a unique design that works perfectly for the rest of the decor!
