The Sacramento wedding team of Paige Brittany Photography and Halie Paige Events envisioned an airy and stylish day that was filled with creative travel theme wedding elements, modern colors, and retro finishes that would perfectly complement the planes at this unique event venue!

An Adventure Wedding in an Airplane Hangar

This gorgeous couple happens to be CFL & NFL retiree Brandyn Thompson, and his stunning Digital Creator wife Curissa De’Leon, reliving the the magic of their own wedding day! They were game to stand in as the bride and groom for this spectacular shoot and their love shines through in every moment.

For the shoot, Halie Paige Events sourced an off the shoulder Alyssa Kristin wedding dress from A and Be Bridal in Sacramento. The fitted sheath dress was a beautiful silhouette against the backlit wedding ceremony in a private airplane hangar in Davis, CA, with a high-fashion scooped neckline and romantic off the shoulder flutter sleeves.

The tone of the ceremony décor was ultra-modern and luxurious! The stunning lighting at Davis Flight Support made the geometric screen backdrop glow in the sun, with over the top ceremony flowers designed by Strelitzia Flower Company. The yellow and orange flowers were chosen to add a modern touch while creating a warm and welcoming color scheme!

A travel theme wedding must – a paper airplane seating chart! Perpetual Paper Airplane handcrafted the calligraphy paper planes that were strung from a geometric frame with hanging flowers to give the perfect travel touch to this adventure wedding design!

The private planes and retro aircraft made a stunning backdrop for this intimate lounge! Celebrations! Party Rentals and Tents curated vintage velvet love seats and stools to create this cozy lounge area for two! A vintage globe and passport details added the perfect adventure wedding accents to this chic lounge!

The spot became the perfect cocktail hour setting to enjoy the over the top cheese board and charcuterie spread by Cheese Mama Co! The honey and fig hues of this stunning cheese tray was the perfect dinner alternative for a micro wedding or elopement for two!

Inside the private jet hangar, white dining tables offered a more traditional reception option. Tall centerpieces on geometric stands kept the look modern and airy, with gold flatware and charger plates accented by vibrant orange lettering on the place cards.

How do you design a cake for an adventure wedding at an air field? BakesBakeryCo created this floating cake as the perfect detail! The top tier hovered in the air, with a frame hidden under winding flowers to showcase the stunning painted frosting details and fresh flowers of the three tier wedding cake. The Milwaukee cabinet tool chest serving as a dessert display table was a fun nod to the air field venue while adding an industrial spin to the decor!

What would cocktail hour be without craft cocktails? This adorable retro camper bar from Salud! Mobile Bar served cocktails and champagne with a side of mini paper planes to add the perfect garnish to an adventure wedding!

How chic is this groom’s look? The modern tux and black velvet loafers gave him the perfect formal style with a little bit of personality!
