Winter light and still life vignettes gave this moody candlelight wedding the prefect touch of warmth for the Longest Night! The dreamy design by Le Muse Events brought to life the history and beauty of old school San Francisco, with a gorgeous city celebration in a private room at Wayfare Tavern. The romantic light from candles added the perfect painterly glow to exquisite flower runners and hanging pampas grass chandeliers by Thousandfold Floral!
A moody candlelight wedding for Winter
When choosing a winter wedding color scheme, you want every detail to glow with warmth! Amanda Reid Designs managed that effect with navy blue and gold handmade paper with metallic wax seals – the perfect combination for a starry night sky. She added warm taupe invitations with vintage-inspired botanical illustrations that spoke to the historic building where this intimate and romantic moody candlelight wedding took place!
The Tavern represents a turning point in San Francisco history. Rebuilt after the earthquake and Great Fire of 1906, it stands as a testament to the city’s resilience. The top-floor Sequoia Room boasts a stunning skylight that opens up the turn of the century brick dining room and showcases a glimpse of the present with views of the Transamerica Pyramid. Indoors, the event space feels like stepping back in time, perfect for a vintage styled wedding!
Moody black and gold added the perfect rich style to this vintage winter wedding! The hand lettered acrylic hexagon escort cards were brushed with gold paint to add the perfect metallic pop to each place setting!
The romantic Helen Miller Bridal dress from At Romance was the perfect choice for a classic bride with a vintage style, while the groom was the vision of black tie style in his suit and bow tie!
Thousandfold Floral managed to play with airy and bohemian flowers alongside the rich floral arrangements that brought to mind Italian masters. The chandelier of bleach ferns, dried pampas grass, ruscus and straw grass added a light cloud effect hanging over the long reception table lined with glowing candles.
For the centerpieces, garden roses, kumquats, and grapes brought to mind the lush arrangements of still life paintings while adding life and light to the table settings. Luxurious black menu cards with gold wax seals gave the elegant china place settings the perfect finish.
The couple shared an intimate Sweetheart Table for a sweet moment together, creating their own Renaissance-worthy masterpiece with these portraits by Vivi Lin Photography.
Sweets in Bloom created a marbled wedding cake that stands on its own as a work of art! The lovely vignette of this dessert display added fresh fruits and dried flowers to bring the luxurious textures together!
Gown change! For a moment in front of the iconic black and white striped Wayfare awning, the beautiful bride changed into a fitted lace trumpet dress for the perfect sendoff!
