The hallmarks of Florence – brilliant Renaissance artwork, exquisite local cuisine, gracious private palazzos – are all on display in this beautiful fall garden wedding shoot from Aldo & Dani Photography and Ryan Abney Event Design! Held in the Corsini Gardens, a private villa hidden away from the bustle of the Tuscan city, this exquisite destination wedding showcases the beauty of autumn with classic Italian colors inspiring a romantic elopement!
A fall garden wedding at an Italian Villa
The invitation suite created by Designed With Amore included a Save the Date adorned in a vellum invitation wrap embellished with a floral wreath and closed with a personalized wax seal. Watercolor elements were a recurring theme, in keeping with the Italian artwork accenting the rest of the wedding decor!
Ryan Abney Event Design and Copper & Sage Collective drew on the colors of the fall garden to create this stunning and Italian-inspired wedding color scheme! Burnt orange accented the notes of cream, sienna, vintage yellow, and greenery in the bride’s stunning statement bouquet.
They opted for bridal separates from Dolly Couture, with a lace 3/4 sleeve corseted bodice and tulle skirt accented with sequins. The romance of the bride’s two-piece dress was a stunning pick for The Corsini Gardens where the ceremony and reception were held! Ornamental hedges and an ivy arch added to the Secret Garden feeling of the private space.
Italian bistro chairs were set for the ceremony, with pampas grass arrangements lining the aisle leading to the greenery arch. They kept the florals minimal to let the natural beauty of the gardens and the bride’s statement bouquet remain the focal point – a floral pocket detail instead of a boutonniere made for a colorful addition to the groom’s tan suit!
The changing seasons touch Florence in the most romantic way, enhancing the natural earth tones and colors of the Tuscan city. The gardens showcase that autumn palette with vibrant fall leaves, with lemon and peach trees still bearing fruit, and with jewel-bright hedges that keep the gardens feeling lush even in the fall.
The reception dinner inside the Lemon House was inspired by a traditional Italian meal – centerpieces included fresh fruit and vegetables to add to the homey feeling, while the table numbers were laser etched into wooden cutting boards as a rustic and creative kitchen touch!
Long wooden tables and a cozy vintage settee for the bride and groom were decorated in an elegant farm to table motif. The place settings were inspired by Italian country details, with Carrara dinnerware with a marble pattern flanked by gold flatware and Tuscany green glassware to add color to the decor.
Baguettes wrapped in vellum sleeves and bottles of oil oil as favors added to the focus on Italian flavors and hospitality! The pièce de résistance was the hand painted menu on each napkin detailing the delicious local cuisine to be served for the reception dinner!
Just as food is its own work of art in Italy, so is the dessert course! Tuscan Wedding Cakes took that idea literally, with this stunning cake inspired by a 15th century Florence tapestry to add a Renaissance artwork element to the reception. The beautiful cake was served alongside a display of pastries with a carved wooden cutting board as the display menu!
What Italian wedding would be complete without Gelato! A vintage gelato cart from Vivoli served cones in the most adorable style!
The couple embraced retro fashion with their evening looks and getaway ensembles- the bride’s tea-length gown and capelet were perfect for the fall garden wedding and a cozy reception look! The lace and silk capelet is perfect for an Audrey Hepburn-inspired bridal look thanks to the classic styling, with a sequin underlay to add a little sparkle!
A portrait session in the fall garden with Aldo & Dani Photography showcased the colors that inspired Ryan Abney Event Design, with notes of charcoal, almond, moss, sienna, and vintage yellow. The magical light of Tuscany infused each moment to create the most stunning portraits to treasure.
