This stunning collaboration with Moose Studio and Dela Planning is proof you can create the romance and culture of a French Countryside Garden Retreat no matter where you might be! In this case, they brought campagne style to Southern California, in the lush surroundings of The Nursery by Southwinds! They brought together garden flowers, a sweet palette of dusty blue and sunny yellow, and a real couple head over heels in love to celebrate French art, culture, and all things wedding!
The calligraphy invitations hand lettered by The Letter J Creates picked up the notes of dusty blue that would wind throughout the shoot. Peonies and Petals made sure every moment was adorned with flowers, creating this lovely garden flatlay from roses, love-in-a-mist, peonies, dahlias, and astilbe.
Lovely sparkling touches from the bride’s crystal vine Bella Belle Shoes to the diamond halo engagement ring added glamorous touches to the organic garden elements.
Dela Planning wanted to add elements of French style and organic romance to the bride’s look. The gorgeous gown by Janay Marie Designs combine a long sleeve top in French-style Guipure lace with a flowing skirt. The pick-ups in the chiffon skirt added volume to the classic A-line silhouette while the soft fabric moved beautifully!
Floral designer Peonies and Petals wanted to bring French garden style made iconic by estates like Monet’s Giverny to the grounds of The Nursery by Southwinds. The lush greenery arch with blush and clay roses suited the venue as though it had been grown in the gardens!
Weddings are a celebration of love and artistry all on their own, and this talented team wanted to take it a step further in a nod to the incredible heritage of artists that is intrinsically tied to France. LA Harp Music provided the perfect ambiance to this garden retreat, and John Garcia Urban Art live painted the bride and groom to create an incredible wedding day keepsake!
This beautiful pair celebrated their wedding anniversary by standing in as bride and groom, reliving the amazing moment when they became husband and wife! Moose Studio took full advantage of the beautiful surroundings to capture portraits in the blooming floral path under spreading olive trees.
From the Design Team –
After watching Monty Don’s French Countryside Garden special on Netflix, we knew that we had to incorporate his love for roses and wild fruit into our arrangements. Peonies and Petals added touches of unripened blueberries which set the tone for the tablescape. It was centered around a long draping chiffon runner, brass candlesticks with pale blue candles and deep blue goblets to accent the plates. The beautiful tabletop design boasted romantic settings and the utmost perfection, with hues of blue, and whites taking center stage. Decadent lemon tarts and desserts by Whisk and Apron blended seamlessly into the color palette. Luxurious white gauze napkins were knotted and tied for each plate, leaving room to let the french blue dishes shine.

The gorgeous reception was as inviting as could be, with sweet garden flower arrangements lining the rustic farm table. Vintage blue willow china added a patterned touch to the soft colors of the decor.
Drinks and dessert awaited in the garden, with a glamorous vintage lounge and stunning cake display. The Sweet Apron embraced the garden theme with a wildflower inspired cake in lavender and gold.
