Andreas and Jessle brought their Ugandan and Swedish cultures together in a regal wedding day fit for a king and queen! Their luxe palette of royal purple and gold added a splash of rich colors to Scandinavian minimalist style in this creative and stunning wedding day celebrating two of the most beautiful people and the family they created together. European fine art photographers 2 Brides Photography were the perfect choice to capture every beautiful moment of this incredible wedding day!
The couple, who met through a chance encounter when both were visiting Stockholm, celebrated their six years and two daughters together in a lavish and loving wedding day. They exchanged vows at Maria Magdalena Kyrka in central Stockholm, before journeying with their guests to Bergendal for their stunning reception. They worked with the internationally acclaimed planner, Fanny Staaf Events, to bring their regal vision for their wedding day to life.
Andreas proposed after a helicopter ride around Mallorca, Spain, where a pilot flew them around the island before settling on top of a mountain where a picnic awaited them. The couple took in the view along with strawberries and champagne before Andreas asked is Jessle would marry him and spend the rest of their lives together. She said YES and it was only fitting that their wedding had the same style and luxury as their proposal!
Jessle envisioned a royal wedding look for her bridal style, falling in love with a Milla Nova gown that made her feel like a queen. The sheer lace sleeves and full ball gown style ensured that all eyes were on her in the grand cathedral at Maria Magdalena Kyrka. She kept her bouquet colors soft and muted, with a classic clutch of ivory and lavender roses that perfectly suited the timeless style of her wedding dress. Makeup artist Diarry Marena accented the bride’s gorgeous features with soft rose gold makeup to add a touch of warmth and luster, while hair stylist Maria Yacoub created a stunning updo that echoed the romance of the dress.
The bridesmaids continued the luxe trend in silky gold dresses from Abyss By Abby. Their bouquets held pops of royal purple to tie the gorgeous bridal party into the vibrant color scheme for the rest of the wedding! The
Pops of royal purple – from lush, blooming hydrangeas and dreamy watercolor details – added a splash of color to the European architecture and airy halls that drew Andreas and Jessle to their ceremony and reception venues. Fanny Staaf Events used clusters of vibrant flowers to artfully add color and texture to the reception tables at Bergendal, keeping the rest of the decor minimal to allow the setting to shine.
Guests found their table at an elaborate seating chart combining lavender watercolor stationery and architectural ornaments. The stunning reception tables featured shades of purple in colorblocked napkins set with gold flatware. Their wedding cake nearly stole the show, thanks to the lavish stained glass effect and sugar flower cascade that Liv Sandberg Cake Art set off with touches of gold leaf!
