It takes a talented designer to put a personal spin on a country club wedding, and Kara Ashley pulled it off  in spades with her preppy pink wedding day! Kara and fiancé Trent planned a relaxed and romantic wedding day at Southern Hills in Ocala, FL, with pops of pink, natural greenery, and chic French decor!

Kara and Trent’s wedding was off to a beautiful start with the invitation suite that welcomed their guests. The bride, a talented illustrator, captured the moment Trent proposed in a beautiful gazebo in the middle of a rose garden. The beautiful illustration was included on their programs and thank you cards as a beautifully personal touch to the stationery suite that she designed and lettered herself!

While their style guide for the day was natural and neutral, the couple added pops of vivid pink in the flowers from Sherwood Florist. The bride’s bouquet showcased blooms in blush and bubblegum with fuchsia roses for a bright pop that perfectly suited her Kate Spade accessories! Kara personalized a Blush by Hayley Paige horsehair ballgown by adding a sparkling lace topper from BHLDN and a champagne silk sash. She created a chic mismatched bridal party by choosing a sparkling pink gown for her Maid of Honor and chiffon dresses in blush and champagne for her two bridesmaids. The groom and groomsmen looked modern and chic in charcoal gray tuxedos with satin lapels.

For the ceremony, natural elements like the rustic French chairs and greenery garland coordinated with the ambient colors and helped bridge the gap between the wooded golf course and elegant country club setting. Their elegant ceremony arbor and greenery chair decor created a welcoming atmosphere for their guests. Place settings of mercury glasses and beaded glass chargers added a glamorous element to their ballroom reception, while a rosé champagne tower and croquembouche topped wedding cake gave the decor a French flair!
