Styling a Low Back Wedding Dress with a Boho Glam Headpiece

Part II of this fab bridal styling series pairs a low back wedding dress from Hayley Paige’s latest collection with a gorgeous boho glam headpiece from Haute Bride! It was always going to be hard to surpass last week’s modern bohemian style, but I think today’s nude lace sheath and hair chain manages it!

The gorgeous nude lace Cali dress features a plunging back with barely there criss-crossing straps, so we wanted to show off that stunning and perfectly on-trend look. To make the most of open back, Moderne Beauty created a romantic low chignon to showcase Haute Bride’s draping boho glam headpiece. Two jeweled clips held the headpiece in place, while a delicate comb anchored the glittering strands sweeping across the bride’s profile. The modern Gatsby meets Coachella vibe could not have been more perfect for the nude lace sheath with a deep neckline and a low back! To create this week’s low chignon, we started with the loose waves Moderne Beauty styled for last week’s feature.

She began by sectioning off strands of hair from the crown of the head and twisting them towards the back to create a loop.

With the first loop in place, she took the next section and pulled it through, before creating a loop of its own. Continuing the looped strands around the crown of the head created an interlocked braid, that Moderne Beauty held in place with bobby pins.

Once the looped crown was finished, she began turning the loose waterfall hairstyle into an updo.

Taking sections of the loose curled strands, Moderne Beauty twisted and pinned them to the base of the neck. Tucking the curls beneath the waterfall of loops created a gorgeously seamless chignon and allowed the headpiece to take center stage. Once every strand was pinned in place, we had a hairstyle that frame our lovely bride’s face while keeping her shoulders and open back bare to offset the stunning gown!
