Vintage Nautical Wedding on a Yacht from Brit Jaye Photography

Be prepared for some serious retro romance with this vintage nautical wedding on a yacht from Brit Jaye Photography! Michelle and Cory tied the knot in the San Diego Bay onboard The Renown, a luxury yacht from Hornblower Cruises and Events, and they could not asked for a sweeter, more romantic day! Michelle is the epitome of a romantic retro bride, right down to her vintage flower cluster engagement ring. She chose a tea-length dress adorned with lace and pearls – what could be better for a seaside wedding? Our beautiful bride is also quite savvy – her adorable bow peep toe heels were for the ceremony  only, and delicate scalloped flats came out just in time for dancing! The rest of her accessories were just as perfectly chosen – lace parasols kept off the Southern California sun in the best way!

In keeping with the vintage nautical theme, Michelle and Cory kept things sweet with a white and aqua color palette. I adore the bridesmaid’s teal length cocktail dresses in aqua silk, especially with Michelle’s gift to them – a pearl and starfish necklace! Hornblower cruises dressed the tables onboard the boat with crisp linen, burlap runners, white lanterns, and beautiful snowy flowers from Kenner and Sons Florists. The cake by Twiggs Bakery boasted sugar shells and two rubber ducks – Michelle’s favorites! – as cake toppers.

They were married onboard The Renown as the sun set over San Diego Bay, with the city skyline and the sea surrounded them. They enjoyed dinner catered by Hornblower on board the boat, before setting things rocking with a dance party!
