How completely adorable are these two for their Hawaiian engagement portraits? Meaghan and Zan braved the Honolulu jungle with Creatrix Photography – and by ‘braved’, I mean ‘enjoyed some tropical fun in a waterfall’. All the same, really. This beyond adorable couple trekked through the lush, jungle growth to Luakaha Falls in the name of capturing the perfect engagement portraits. Their gorgeous portraits manage to communicate so much about the couple; really, the epitome of what you want your engagement session to convey!
Meaghan and Zan led Jenna of Creatrix through the vibrant, jewel-bright jungle to the base of Luakaha Falls, the site of their proposal! Not only did they choose to take their portraits at a meaningful spot – not to mention a drop-dead gorgeous one – they managed to incorporate their sense of fun and adventure into their shoot. Meaghan, the newly minted Lead Event Coordinator for Honolulu-based boutique wedding planners, Moana Events, is no stranger to weddings. I love that she chose to bring her personal style to their shoot – her lacy shift dress is a gorgeous nod towards bridal style while still letting her showcase her own look! Zan is no slouch in the style department himself – how often do you get to see a bowtie in the rain forest?! Not only are they beyond stylish, but this couple knows how to accessorize like pros – Meaghan’s coral statement necklace is a gorgeous way to punch up her sweetly boho style, but it’s her vintage inspired morganite engagement ring that really steals the show!
From the bride-to-be, Meaghan,
“We are beyond thrilled by the photos from wonderful Creatrix Photography, and even more excited to see that others enjoy them as well:)
Zan especially appreciates your nod to the ring. A lot of his energy went into it! I am not really a “diamond girl”, and am actually not too picky about gems in general. The only requests I had were rose gold band, a peach colored gemstone…and for it not to break the bank. We visited a few jewelry stores and I honestly could not find anything I liked. Everything was just too “fancy” for a simple girl like me. To my surprise, Zan decided to have my dream ring designed for me instead. The poor jeweler who created it spent many months with Zan and went through a LOT of gems, before he finally found the one he knew I would adore. Although it looks like Morganite, it is actually an Imperial Topaz. I am beyond in love with it, and even more in love with the man who gave it to me. We sincerely thank you for sharing in our little love story with us.
Blessings!”

Obvi the location is amazing but I am crushing on their ‘formal’ style!
Aww! Love seeing Meaghan on here! She and Morgan (of Moana Events) were part of our Ku’u Lei team with Orchestrated in February! She’s beautiful! <3
Kudos to them for trekking through the rough terrain for those beautiful photos 🙂 Such a cute couple and great style too! That waterfall is so stunning!
