I still have a few of these Runway to the Aisle Inspiration Boards up my sleeve, but the first one that I wanted to share with you is one that I feel we’ll be seeing a lot of in 2014. Christian Siriano‘s collection owed much to his recent trip to Isla Mujeres, but an equal amount to one of the Pantone colors of the year, Cayenne. Cayenne popped up in many other collections at Fashion Week, creating one of the most unifying trends that I saw come down the runway. Coral has been a perennial favorite for wedding color combinations, but I predict that it will lead the pack as the Mint of 2014.
The good news for brides looking to incorporate Coral into their wedding colors, is the wealth of inspiration out there on how to personalize their color pairings. Last week I paired Coral with Teal for a romantic watercolor inspiration from Rebecca Minkoff, and shortly before that it was a board pulling together Coral, Mint & Gold. This board keeps things dramatic and glamorous, thanks to Christian Siriano’s use of rose sequins and gold stripes.
